As hard as it is to imagine. It could happen. But at least I know we would be missing the playoffs to a team with a better record. Compared to seeing a team like Dallas crawl their way in.

Obviously. It sucks to see my team finish so well, but come up just short. But imagine if it were your team. I'm sure if it were San Fran or New England in Arizona's shoes, Goodell would be in his office as I type implementing a new format. Everyone but Cardinals fans could care less about them getting shorthanded. But wait until the Cards somehow win the division next year and it's Seattle getting shafted. Then something will happen. Look, I'm just saying the current format, IMO, has a slight flaw that can be fixed. It would reward deserving teams. Will it? I highly doubt it, but that's what this board's for - to talk about it.

Well you got a good point. My point is Arizona could be very deserving of the playoffs at 11-5 winning 8 of the their last 9, and that maybe Goodell should tweak the format just slightly. It's just unfortunate to play in such a difficult division with the current playoff format.

Maybe they shouldnt have lost 31-7 to New Orleans
31-7 or 31-30, a loss is a loss, and that was earlier in the season before this team really started to gel. But you're right, a win there definitely helps us out. Sucks we also couldn't hold on to 11 point 4th qtr lead against St. Louis on the road in week 1.

That way the playoffs will field teams that are all pretty much deserving an none will get left out. It neither penalizes teams for being in an EXTREMELY tough division, that is the NFC West.

My solution: the division leader with the 4th best record amongst divisions can be surpassed by a 3rd wild card team IF that wild card team has a better record.

Didn't the Patriots win 11 games a few years back and get left out?
There schedule was a cakewalk.

I guess after 2008 when we made it to the Superbowl as the "worst team to ever make the playoffs" (that is before 7-9 Seattle came along) I can only chalk it up as Karma.

What a travesty it will be when the Cards miss the playoffs at 11-5. If the panthers lose next week... San Fran, Carolina, and New Orleans will all be tied at 11-5, with the tiebreakers leaving the Arizona the odd team out. The Cards will have beaten 2 of those teams and all together 4 teams (depending on whether Indy wins this week) with 11-5 records or better (SF, Car, @Seattle, and Indy). That's tied with Indy for the most in the NFL. Incredible. To think that joke of a team over in Texas could make it over a team that will have won 8 of it's last 9 games... what a shame it will be.
Please fix the playoff format Goodell...

Also the one that's the best doesn't have to tell everyone he's the best.
All three - Peterson, Revis, and ESPECIALLY Sherman, have iterated they're the best. Haden is top notch, but imo not in the discussion.

It's Calvin Johnson.
No one in this world can completely shut that machine down. Minus the 70 yard TD where PP21 thought Carlos Dansby had a pick and hesitated, Peterson actually played very solid against him, considering who he is.

For anyone who disagrees, please explain...
Note - For you people who will proclaim Sherman, he does not blanket a team's primary receiver all game long, as Peterson does. Sherman also has a better supporting cast to help him out up in Seattle.

Has anyone heard or know of what the Chief himself had to say after the Georgia game? Did they interview him? I'd be really interested to see what he thought/has to say. A defensive performance like that deserves an explanation...

To Dan Williams of the Arizona Cardinals. His father was killed in a car accident on a visit to New Orleans to watch his son play today. Extremely sad. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Didn't earn? Lmao. Bammers gonna bam.
I'm pretty sure we were the ones that earned that championship. We played arguably one of the toughest schedules in college football history and managed to steamroll all our opponents in the process. Topped it off beating you guys at your place. You were lucky to have a rematch with us. Don't come on here and tell us that type of bullshite.

Well, I guess we will find out the likes of whom really despise LSU when some media pundits come out and try to find a way to bash Les.
re: Les just said White and Robinson to see "significant snaps" moving forward
Posted by Jsoula on 9/9/13 at 7:14 pm
Guys we really shouldn't be surprised by this type of news. We all new that both white and Robinson had Patrick peterson type of talent. White being a 5 star stud related to Morris Claiborne and RR straight tearing up shite in recruiting camps. He gave an early message when he threw down a receiver at an LSU camp earlier this spring demanding these lsu coaches bring him better competition (an lsu or nfl receiver). It really is a thought to behold that our starting true freshman and all sec corner (mills) could potentially be beat out by even better competition. And this is why we call ourselves DBU. frick Texas and their shite.
