Forget a press conference to announce the commitment in front of media and cameras....I can't think of a more clever way to make your intentions known and to make a statement on such an important night! His commitment will be remembered for years, regardless of what he does on the field....I like it...
We're not alone...I am sure OSU, Penn State and Michigan know they will now have more competition. But, your statement is valid for all the SEC...Bama, Georgia now have to face not only the LSU, Florida, Tennessee's of the world, but Texas, Oklahoma will make some noise at some point. So, I think ...
He is a talent, so hope he stays and works to become a better player. Potential means nothing unless you develop it. We've seen this movie too many times before...Gilbert and Harris just recently. If this is an NIL issue, well, agree from many posts on Tigerdroppings, this is ruining college footb...

re: Denver Harris in the portal

Two words: Arik Gilbert! So much raw talent, but nothing above the shoulders! Gilbert went from LSU to Georgia to Nebraska with no impact for 2022 season. In September, arrested for burglary twice in three weeks. So, losing someone who did not contribute and will not contribute is not a loss......
even with comparisons after the PAC 12 game, is Daniels rushing yards....All we continue to see are the passing comparisons! They cite Penix has more passing yards, which is true, but don't really highlight he has twice as many interceptions. Nix still getting love locally as Oregon paper put some s...
Seems just about all LSU QB transfers have not panned out... Finley, Parrish, Johnson....and most likely (time will tell) Howard....anybocy I missed?...

Bowl Game, Notre Dame and Nabers!

Posted by Awlunz Tiger on 11/26/23 at 8:05 am
Notre Dame match-up would probably attract a lot of attention, so would be in interesting game. But, will be a tough game and even tougher if LSU is without many of its stars! Nabers wanting to play is a good start and may entice others to play. But, can't blame Daniels if he wants to sit this one ...

Nix observations

Posted by Awlunz Tiger on 11/25/23 at 9:05 am
As stated before, he is very good player on a really good team. But, to me, he fits the Oregon system very well and that is the why he is so successful. But, there are probably ten QBs around the country who can step in and have the success he has at Oregaon. But, what QB in the country can step int...

Aggies QB situation...

Posted by Awlunz Tiger on 11/23/23 at 2:46 pm
Haven't been keeping up with the Aggies the last few weeks. I knew that Max was injured, now I am reading that he may be playing on Saturday? Not sure how bad a rib injury, but would love to see him play and ruin his day! Is he available? ...

Secondary?

Posted by Awlunz Tiger on 10/29/23 at 2:22 pm
We've heard very little about Zy's injury (or I've missed it) other than it will take time, and haven't had much news on status of Duce and Denver (again, unless I've missed other news). So, I am curious as to whether CBK has plans of playing Denver. I thought there were more serious issues with Du...

Do we have any further news on injury?...

LSU-Bama game a shootout?

Posted by Awlunz Tiger on 10/22/23 at 1:57 pm
Still two weeks away, but can't help but think the game will be a shootout! I think Bama will slow us down on offense some, but doubt they'll stop us from putting up significant points. The real question will be can our defense get sufficient stops against the Bama O. It will come down to whether Mi...

Any word on Emery?

Posted by Awlunz Tiger on 10/15/23 at 3:34 pm
I know that E. Jones has a strained ankle, but hopefully will be ready for Bama..but, depending on how bad, that injury, could linger. Does anyone know about Emery's status? Didnt he limp off the field after his last carry? What limited time he had last night, he seemed to take advantage...
NOPE! Not going to happen! Not the dominant Bama teams we've seen in the past, but they will win on running the ball, and doing enough of defense!...
longest road losing streak of any Power 5 team! And, in mid October, no longer relevant for any divisional or conference title! Wait, give Jimbo time....it's only his 6th year! :) Meanwhile, it was close with Bama Arky, but Bama is improving week to week with their QB. They will continue to be ...
that the Perkins interception really changed the game! Had that not happened and Mizzou scored, not sure the comeback would have happened. But, now viewing the game AFTER the fact and not having watched it in real time and knowing the outcome, it was clear that was when the game changed. They al...
he left LSU. Two words..."Jayden Daniels"! No way Max would have seen the field. He has the same problem at A&M he had at LSU...no pocket presence! Even the announcers noticed that last night and said several of the sacks were because he held on to the ball too long. I think his brother is a ...
But it always has been and always will be Ohio against the world!
That's really the problem...this persecution that tOSU feels in regard to not being respected and constantly has the need to always be put on a pedestal regardless of the quality of the team! Your record in big time...
I am neither an tOSU or Notre Dame fan! But, I watched the game and now will pull against tOSU from this point on as long as Ryan Day is coach! His post game interview and comments were the most absurd I've ever heard! Why in the moment do you go after a sports commentator, regardless of who it is, ...
