If I were RJF, I'd definitely be watching for a good one or two chop blocks Sat. night.
Let me ask you this: if said chop block were to occur, can you really BLAME the Gator who chops him, considering the venomous hatred he spewed towards Tim Tebow in his comments? That's what I thought.

Ricky Jean Francois is a thug, nothing more, nothing less. And since he's from Haiti, has anyone even checked to see if he's in this country legally? I am ashamed that he is a member of our football team. And I'm mad at Miles for the hypocrisy of the whole thing: he'll dismiss Ryan Perriloux from the team for skipping some classes, but this Francois guy can mouth off about hurting another human being, viciously no less, and be allowed to be a starter? At this clip, what with the thug image, we'll be known as the new Miami in no time!

Surley you aren't referring to the classic adeptation of an awesome book by Tom Wolf?
Two things: 1) It's Tom Wolfe, not Tom Wolf; 2) I most certainly AM referring to the lame movie adaptation of an even LAMER book.

You might wanna try the Ugly Dog Bar and Saloon. Of course, you may end up leaving early if Tebow and his receivers catch fire against our slightly inferior secondary.

 That's actually where I'm staying! Coming in Friday evening, spending Saturday at Hyde and Zeke's record store hunting for old vinyl, then head on over to Griffin Stadium for the game.

There's no way we will catch Alabama. They are on fire this season, and their three road wins have been blowouts, and they play us this year in...Baton Rouge! :banghead:

re: The Hate for Saban

lbptiger, Saban is the greatest coach we've ever had, and likely ever WILL have, here at LSU! :dude:

An honest question about Saban...

Posted by lsuelvis on 10/6/08 at 11:55 am
...considering how quick we returned to national prominence, to this day I fail to understand why so many of our fans appear to hate the man. Look at what he did here! He won a share of the national championship in just his fourth year here! Considering that four years earlier we set a school record (Houston game) for consecutive losses, that is a quantum leap to have us in that position so quick. I hated when he left for Miami, but he didn't owe us anything else. And no, he didn't then, nor does he now, need ANY of y'all's approval to be the head coach at Alabama. Yes, it's weird seeing him on THEIR sideline, but I don't hate him for it! I'm grateful for what he did for us while he was here! :dude:

...to Florida, we will almost certainly beat South Carolina. I say this because the last four times we've lost to the Gators, we ended up winning the following week. Hopefully, we'll beat the hated Gators, but, even if we don't, a win over Carolina looks like a certainty. :dude:

Coach Miles...

Posted by lsuelvis on 10/6/08 at 11:26 am
...has there been a moment in his tenure where you truly hoped he'd be fired as our coach? For me it was last year after we lost to Kentucky, a team we beat 49-0 the year prior. 49-0, people! That is inexcusable; I don't care if we did go on and win the national championship. He lost a lot of cool points in my eyes that day in Lexington. ( A similar turnaround occurred in the Arizona State/Nebraska series, where, in 95, Nebraska beat the Sun Devils, 77-28. The following year, Arizona State won 19-0. By the end of the season, Tom Osborne, he of the 3 national championships, was voted out as coach.)
