Stepbrothers

At the beginning I found it really stupid and didn't feel like watching the rest
Then I learned to lean into the stupidity and loved the jokes and quotes with all the ridiculousness associated
Starting to seem like he is who he is and there is no next level

...at least he scored that pretty goal
quote:

It's a beautiful place being ruined by the violence.

Hasn't been beautiful for decades, if not centuries, at this point
There is no vegetation, people literally burn trash
It's a wasteland even beyond the sociological/humanitarian issues
Just look at Google Earth and compare Haiti to Dominican Republic on the same island - brown v green
RHCP
GNR
Metallica - but only For Whom the Bell Tolls, Enter Sandman, and Nothing Else Matters (just heard those waaaay too much)
Oregon is great but it's not really a quick trip from the south
Usually involves multiple flights at at least 4 hours air time - much of that quick weekend is wasted on a plane
This is camp and nobody is even defending him

He'll be out of the league in three seasons
Sooner if he wasn't a top 5 pick multiples will try to "save"
This is the longest thread I've ever read with so few actual reviews of the movie. Saw it today, here's my take.

Overall it was pretty good.
Lots of potential and beautifully shot, amazing cinematography
The casting was distracting at first with Page, Holland, and Leguizamo
Page was incredibly miscast and distracting
Zendaya was pointless and her inclusion bothered me, just useless
I liked Hathway and Pattinson acting, also the Indian first crew mate guy. Damon was meh but improved as time went on. Wasn't a fan of Holland.
Sometimes it couldn't decide if the dialogue wanted to be classic or modern and it threw me off at times.

The soundtrack was a bunch of noise and terribly distracting during some key plot points, I'd say a stinker
The worst part of the movie was the aggravating guy banging the staff at the beginning and middle, just unnecessary

It got kind of preachy at the end like some anti-colonialism propaganda even though this is from a time where it was kill or be killed, conquer or be conquered, so that was just an odd landing and final message but at least it was delivered well
Gnocchi - very mushroomy and rich
Turtle Bolognse - awesome, very heavy on the sauce only a few noodles but in a good way

I want to go back and try other stuff
God this thread is complete garbage

At least 60+ pages of arguing about stupid shite I"m trying to actually discuss the movies
Would an 8yo boy enjoy it?
Hoping it could be a good home movie night flick
I did credit cards for this - opened up a new card for each big expense (one for the retrieval, one for transfer etc) and received many a signing bonus

After 4 rounds before success, it paid for many trips and a babymoon to Hawaii

That really sucks
She was the only good human element of those movies and I liked how they wrapped up her origin arc with Skull Island and Hollow Earth in the last movie.

I hate how much those monster movies try to focus on the humans, give me Kong and Godzilla smashing shite. But her story was good because of how it connected to Kong and Mothra.
I just don't like how he never tries to cool off his teammates, IMO it's poor leadership

He knows the entire team plays for him and their style enables his success so he allows it to continue and it worked for him.

This has been multiple tournaments so it's a trend
Paredes is a known POS

In WC 22, he had a yellow borderline red nasty tackle v Netherlands, then got into a fight with the entire bench after punting the ball into their team after the whistle

Should have seen red back then
Let's take a minute to celebrate Rodri

4x consecutive EPL winner
Treble winner
Sole goal scorer in UCL victory and UCL player of the season
2023 nations league winner - player of the tournament
2024 Balon d'Or
Euro 2024 Champ - player of the tournament
WC 2026 Champ - Golden Ball winner and Captain

He has an argument for one of (if not the) most accomplished midfielders of all time
Get fricked back to the MSB and I hope you get banned

The only bad thing about the WC has been your presence here
Awesome that Rodri gets the golden ball

He’s literally won everything at this point
I’m guessing Simon gets golden glove purely for numbers
Don’t think he really deserves it but nobody else was dramatically better

Who gets golden ball - Rodri? Messi?
