I think this is all spot on. Please teach your kids financial literacy. They don't get it in school. But will absolutely get it from our spend driven society.

Full sun. At 3/4 of an acre a bit too much to water. But tell me more about a "pro plugger". Not sure what this is all about.

Calling all Bermuda Grass Gurus

After scrapping my yard about three years ago and using Bermuda seeds my lawn is only about 50% Bermuda. I fertilize and use MSMA regularly to kill everything else. Any tips on how I can get Bermuda to fill in better?

This was my reason for starting this conversation. We have got to get people to see the light. Spread the word. Nobody gives a damn if you drive an expensive vehicle. You are not impressing anyone but the wrong people!

A post in the OT about the '27 Silverado coming out with an MSRP of around $68,000 has some excited. Now you know this thing will have sticker prices of around 80k or more. Insanity.

Can someone explain to me why a person making around $60,000 a year would buy an $80,000 truck with very little or nothing in retirement savings? Now we are not talking about a 22 year old. I would have to say the average buyer for this truck starts around 35 years old. Again, insanity.
I can understand why companies charge as much as they can for their product. That is free enterprise. I have NO IDEA why someone who makes $60,000 a year buys an $80,000 truck.

Many people do it over several years after they've retired and their income drops. They fill up available lower tax brackets to a point and then repeat every year until everything is converted.

This seems to be the way to go. Actually most people’s income drops the first year they retire. And with no debt and the proper amount of investments that could be a good thing. Especially if you retire at 62 and have to shoulder the burden of healthcare premiums before 65 and medicare kicks in. My thoughts anyway.

Ok let’s talk. Anyone here has done or is doing this? What is your strategy?
How the hell is there not a kill switch on this thing?

There is no way this is a serious post.
Now this is how you post on TD!

Godfather quandry.

My annual Godfather watch is underway. Something just hit me. Why in the world would Appolonia’s father allow her to marry Michael. I mean he basically told him he was a gangster. Hmmm.
So what is your lighter of choice to bring on an airplane that will not get you in hot water? Bic? Please tell me there is something better than that so the TSA overlords will not go into overdrive.
Here is what you have to ask yourself. What do you actually plan on doing with these pic/videos?

Punch vs cutter. Monte Cristo White Series/Churchill is an awesome mild stick.

Where would you invest next?

Posted by Daygo85 on 12/10/24 at 11:04 am
Hypothetical. You are contributing fully to your employer provided 401k pretax. You are maxing out your Roth IRA post tax. What would be your next move for retirement funds? 5 years to retirement.

I'll hang up and listen.
OK. Fall is here. Anyone know if this place will re-open?
What is a ballpark price for annual maintenance?

Thin blade grass looks like centipede. You will know for sure at the first hint of a frost because it will be DEAD. Also, if you take a picture with your phone Google will tell you all about your grass or other flowers/plants.

Good luck.
Not sure what kind of grass you have but I have Bermuda. Spraying the entire yard for VBW and Dollar weed with 2-4-D does it for me.
