Hard for me to understand how Franks can come in, push Harris et al out, and light up the season in his first year. An earlier post today had a rational point that it takes several years for an SEC QB to develop -- i.e., Alabama. If Les gets only one more year to improve, how does Franks impact the ...
I have been a fan since my first day on campus in 1967. Even in those days, after Mac lost to the Bear (yet again), the fan base was saying "just wait until next year." Doesn't seem like much has changed in almost 50 years. We still can't seem to beat Bama and the fans are still saying wait until ne...
Haters are gonna hate, and fools are gonna post....
I have heard "LSU will be better next year" for about 50 years now. Maybe they will, maybe not - let's enjoy the day today and worry about tomorrow after the new year....
Always gonna be pundits like this - for me I prefer to go with the people who make a living out of picking correctly - like Vegas who has LSU a 7+ point favorite. ...
I was not there - I was in Lafayette with the best woman I ever had. Both LSU and I had very happy endings - I should have married that woman!...
OK - I get it - no one likes the penalties. But if this is the "bitch point" rather than bad QB play, time management, or if the band plays 'neck' -- then I figure all is good. Just wouldn't be LSU football without something to bitch about -- and this is from a 66 year old, 1972 grad who has been to...
Feeling like 44-14 Tigers...
I get the "win is a win" mentality - but if the horses are shut up in the stable they are just overhead. Put them on the track and let them do what you got them for - let them run! And then, who cares if a one point win is better than a 40 point win - everyone got to showcase why they are at LSU....
I don't understand why LSU can't get and keep a pipeline of QBs - we seem to have a decent to good QB for a season or two and then nothing....
Polls are for the politicians - more of a beauty pageant than anything else. The only poll that means anything is the last one. Results trump opinions....
to really air it out and beat UNT by 50 or so, or hold off and just use it as an evening scrimmage? Does beating a tune-up team by 50 establish dominance? send an early message to the rest of the SEC? I do not know - what would you do? ...

Who cares? Really, what does it matter? - he is rich and does not have to prove anything to the talking heads or a fickle public. Enjoy the bank Matt .... life beyond football is sweet for the rich and healthy....

My 14 y/o son and I were at the game - in the upper deck. We saw the storm coming and started down for cover - we didn't make it before the skies opened up. But was a fun game anyway - son thought streakers were a hoot....

re: NCG bowl Payout

Each bowl team used to get expenses first. Then the remainder of the bowl purse was added to other SEC bowl payouts, then divided equally between all of the SEC teams with a full share going to fund the SEC office. At least that is what it used to be - not positive it is that way anymore....

Interesting first post - and you may be right. Not sure if anyone has mentioned that....
No doubt that this has been a special season and a fun ride, but the money shot is the crystal ball in Jan....
CLM's remark "not many" cracked me up - priceless!...
