in the bill, there is a mandatory 2 year sentence for flight.

unfortunately, the individual who caused all of this has not been sentenced yet. he claims insanity. we have had his court date pushed 4 times already. the next one is sept 14th
yes, he is serving his sentence now.
thank you for the kind words. I was not thrilled at first either. The more we thought about it the more it made sense to us ( at least).
selfish, yes, every plate we see will remind us of our daughter. the $ raised from the plates will go to police training on pursuits so hopefully by the grace of God , no other parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, will have to go through what we have gone through. So honestly, yes it is bitter sweet. we know, not only was Maggie an organ donor(which she has impacted 47 peoples lives with her organs), she will continue to help others become safer or at most, less chance of a cop chasing a bad guy causing more collateral damage. ( which is crazy, because she loved that movie)

Gov. Landry signed the bill yesterday. Orders can begin on August 1. The bill was proposed by Chasity Martinez and amended by Senator Kleinpeter.
The black plates will be called “We Will Never Forget Caroline and Maggie.”

you will absolutely love it. i lived in Knox Vegas for a few years. i loved it. so close to alot of things. basically in the Smokies, trails, views, less democrats.
like someone mentioned, you will only miss crawfish. there is a place on kingston pike in knoxville that has crawfish. there are a good bit of former louisianians up that way.
