That’s a cookout, not a barbecue. Damn yankees!

If you haven’t already listened to the podcast, Sold a Story, you should check it out. It was an eye opener!

It’s supposedly the Vanguard School in Colorado Springs. It’s in the Cheyenne Mountain area.

He threatened the school my oldest is supposed to go to next year  Looks like we will be homeschooling. This country is nuts!

I live here, the Stop the Steal protests were held downtown & they stepped back into the median/sidewalks when police approached them & asked them to move. This particular BLM protest was blocking traffic on the freaking interstate & they ignored the police.

My 7 year old lost is when he saw Air Force One fly by. He was so excited! The footage they’ve shown of the crowds all day is insane!

Haven’t heard about anything going on here in the Springs, but there’s a bunch of people meeting up at Stoney’s in Denver.

Do it! We’re doing pretty well here in Colorado Springs!

Most of the politicians in Louisiana are democrats that stick an “R” behind their name in order to get elected there. That’s what you get when your voter base is apathetic.

I would be interested to see if the law JBE signed & legislature approved allowing felons to vote made any difference given the small margin of victory.

We have lived here for 5 years now. The best school districts are D12, D20, & D38.
D12 - Cheyenne Mountain area, probably the best, but VERY expensive housing. Lots of wealthy people in this area
D38 - Just north of the Springs in Monument/Palmer Lake. Would be a bit of a far drive to Shriever
D20 - this is the district we’re in & couldn’t be happier. It’s located on the north side of the city, but it might be a bit of a commute
Stay away from D2 & D11. I also wouldn’t move to Fountain or Security-Widefield.
D49 isn’t bad & there are a lot of military families that work out of Shriever & Peterson that live there. Lots of new construction constantly going up. I would stay to the northern side of the district or go out to Falcon. You get the most bang for your buck in Falcon, but it’s pretty windy out that way.
Also, we have school choice here. The choice window has already closed for next year, so if you move into the neighborhood of a highly sought after elementary school during the summer you may not be able to get in that year.

My husband and I both voted straight red, and we’re unaffiliated voters. :USA:
