Somebody needs to steal that stick from State.

Thanks for the headsup on Marcello's. That's about as far as I'm willing to drive for ingredients and in reality I'm probably only looking for things in a pinch.

I like to buy exactly what I want and for that I usually end up going mail order. Everytime I've gone to a brew store with a recipe I'm building I end up having to substitute something for something else.

I went in the day they opened and sat at the bar. Just decided to Google it because a co-worker mentioned it and this thread came up. Since service is a big topic I actually have something to chime in about. Apparently because it's not a franchise of the Dallas restaurant the whole staff is kind of just "figuring out" how to run the place including the owners. The bartender did mention that the place is at least partially owned by the folks at Kamado's. I guess they don't have a ton of bar experience because they're running out of a lot of their alcohol offerings. My co-worker said they were out of Jaeger, a certain scotch he likes and a couple of the beers they requested.

That being said with the experience of their owners I would guess they'll figure it out. I hope so because they're on my way home and I love an actual pub.

Agreed the music has to be addressed. Personally I feel like a jukebox isn't a good choice for setting an atmosphere. If you want an English pub atmosphere play that music.

Be a sport and wear a ULM jersey with a Bama cap. :cool:
