It was my first time too. My son came to me in January and told me his wish for his Senior trip was a trip to Omaha. "Just you and me dad!" How could I resist!
We had tickets to the first two games of the final series and my wife surprised us with one more ticket to see the final game.

It was everything I thought it would be and even more. Making the trip with my son was going to be awesome but for LSU to be there and win the whole thing, nothing will ever top it as far as sporting events go.

Senior trip for my son! Just me and him. We were going regardless if LSU was there or not. LSU being there will be an awesome added bonus.

Weston upset Converse, 5-3 Wednesday night.
Weston goes to the state tournament for the first time since 1986 if memory serves me correctly. Ironically, it was Converse who best us in that state championship game, 5-3.

The Joe Burreaux game. Went with the wife and our two sons. That was a great moment and then the butt kicking we put on A&M was the icing!!

I pastor a small church in NELA and i was in my office at church Sunday evening making final tweaks to my message when a notification comes up on my phone. The Saints had just scored to make it 27-7 in the 3rd quarter when at that moment, our choir, who was rehearsing, struck up their rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In.” I kid you not! It could not have been any better timing!! LOL GEAUX SAINTS!!

Nearly every time i went to my girlfriend’s house during high school (1985-86) her mom would have deviled ham sandwiches to snack on and a pot of coffee brewing. My girlfriend also wore a perfume that I distinctly remember. Sometimes when i walk in Wal Mart to this day i smell her house. Weird, i know.
