I was at the BOC, NYDolls, and Kiss show standing 3rd in line from stage in about the middle. Crazy great night and got the fake blood spit on all of us down front. Kiss freaked everyone out lol. After the Dolls set we were exhausted. BOC then proceeded to pile drive us into submission. Went to a lot of shows at Independence Hall (Lynyrd Skynyrd - original w/Ed King, Steely Dan, Wishbone Ash, Black Oak Arkansas, Robin Trower, Joe Walsh, BTO, Rare Earth, Buddy Miles…). Never will forget this one.

It was originally called the Admiral Benbow Inn. Worked as busboy & did the food room service there in mid-1970s. It was a thriving hotel way back in the day. Jeff Welch played the organ/piano in the hotel lounge nightly. Met the Doobie Brothers’ band members while staying there for their BR show. A lot of fond memories and a damn shame it has deteriorated to this.
