I put everything possible on a CC, pay it off monthly and get cash back at year end. It works for us.

I retired a year ago at 58. Best decision I ever made and it’s even better than I had imagined. And yes, stress free Sunday nights are awesome. Then again, every night is stress free and awesome.

Thanks. That still involves Roth conversions, which can easily get you to no taxes. But I don’t consider that “pulling $100k and not paying any taxes”, as mentioned above. You did pay taxes, but you paid earlier at 12%.

Sure, no long term capital gain, but withdraw from a non Roth retirement account and you’ll pay 20% taxes.

I always get the chicken and sausage gumbo with fried chicken bites and fried okra on the side. It’s always great. Also try the messy fries. Fries topped with fried shrimp, crawfish, jalapeños, all covered in Mornay sauce.
