I'm sure there is stuff built into it, but this seems like a huge liability to do. The only thing I can think of is you sign a waiver saying you can't sue the homeowner.

Not a scam per se, but a house flipper keeps spamming me with texts every few months to sell my house. The entry level price in our neighborhood is around $550k-$600k. One time they came out and said $325k is what they would pay and I sent back the hysterical laughing emoji. I told them my price was $1 million the first time and each time they ask I add another $250k to it.
