I grew up in one and currently reside in one as well.

As you can imagine, the opposite was true in my case. I was somewhat shocked that there are places with the inverse type of demographics when I moved to Baton Rouge for college.
It's somewhat comforting to remember that our country just recently kidnapped their country's brutal dictator president and brought him here to stand trial for his crimes and basically overthrew their government in one night.

So refreshing to hear the big roar from the crowd on that homerun.

There's a lot of fans from other countries like Japan and DR who bought tickets for this championship game thinking their respective teams would make it.

Many seem to be cheering for the US.
I love baseball so much.

I'm sure it's been discussed ad nauseam here and it shouldn't be surprising given it's in Miami, but the fact that this is essentially a home game on U.S. soil for Venezuela really leaves a bad taste.

Just my opinion.
Haven't been this amped for a baseball game in a long time. What a spectacle this is. The atmosphere will be electric. This is going to be epic.

There is always a reason to live. You have a duty to live to help other human beings in need as much as possible. I encourage you to find meaning in helping the less fortunate amongst us by contributing your time, energy, and finances to the extent possible because I promise you all of those good works will benefit you in the next life.
Man, there is some real truth in this thread. I'll just add with wholehearted honesty that I have lost many folks dear to me in this lifetime due to various causes, natural and not so natural. Life.

A lot of times I think about people who have fought for our country and how they have experienced much more in this regard than most of us.

I think most of us have had it pretty easy in life, relatively speaking.

I'll end with this famous saying:

"Don't take life too seriously...you'll never get out alive."
That's fair. It's just that the picture of that Baraka from Mortal Kombat looking dude kinda discouraged me from listening for more than about 10 seconds.
Truth be told my brother I was referring to the Latin phrase. That video is a bit dark for my taste. All good, though. Cheers
I sincerely thank everyone for their respective contributions to this amazing thread. Cheers.

I think that given recent geopolitical events for the United States of America and Venezuela to play in the Championship of the world's biggest baseball tournament is incredible and I can't wait for it tomorrow night...
