IMG would be Stewart’s 3rd high school, correct?

4th, ESJ then went to St James grade shopping, St Aug and if he finally makes it to IMG not shocking, he’s been trying to get there since 8th grade.
I once saw Amos Moses wrestle Chris Adams at the Cut off youth center in the 80s. Kerry and Kevin von Erich were there too. That’s all I have to add.

f they are the old metal cans, good luck with it holding in liquids. You can maybe use it as a shield, but a toilet, I think not.

CL circa 03-04, they would lock us down for state testing, teacher wouldn’t let a kid go to the bathroom so he wrapped his jacket around himself and shite in one of those metal trash cans right in the front of the room. That’s all I have to contribute to this conversation.

When is the St. Amant vs -SL game?

That won’t be much of a game. SL’s star player Daniels quit the team in the middle of a game a few days ago.

the scrimmage or jamboree

Spring scrimmage, was 6-6 in controlled, 0-0 in live quarter, anyone who says Karr would destroy Destrehan is dead wrong. Those two teams are about as evenly matched as you can get. There’s a long video somewhere of the highlights I remember watching it over the summer.

SL>cl

Not tonight my friend. Cl snapped the second longest losing streak in the state.

I have to give some credit, I been shitting on cl ad and current head coach. I still dont think he’s the solution but he has the kids that are still out there playing hard and he’s calling both the offense and defense himself because of lack of coaches. So kudos Shelly.

but that is on the parents and also the parish for the facilities they have to work with at CL.

Kids were not leaving CL to go to Edw because of facilities. Almost all of CL’s facilities are more modernized than Edw. Now that may be the case in the future with the new weight room that the Bollingers donated which looks amazing. Kids leave CL because this place is a mess, and a place like Edw offers stability, you’re going to get quality coaching with little turnover in pretty much every sport.

I don’t blame a single kid or parent for sending their kid to another school right now. I see a few of our most promising freshmen from last year on the rosters of other teams and I say good for them. There’s no use wasting your talent here until the program takes the steps needed to stabilize and start rebuilding properly.

Lafourche been to the quarters in the last 5-10 years in any major sport? Crazy to think about

CL made quarters in basketball and soccer once in that timeframe. CL Girls soccer has a state runner up, and couple semi and couple quarter appearances. There’s a few good years here and there for every school, but really cl girls soccer, sl baseball and sl girls basketball are the only good consistent programs in the area.

Times change man you never know what might happen.

Things need to change for it to ever happen. It’s been 26 years since CL has won a playoff game, and “coincidentally” 25 years ago is when the AD arrived at Central. Now it’s not all his fault obviously but as his influence over the program grew the program has sunken lower and lower and is now the shitshow that he’s running today.

Thibodaux Basketball

Really hasn’t been great except for the championship season 4 years ago. Central’s Best player transferring to Thibodaux that season had a lot to that with that championship too.
quote:

Y’all got Morgan city scheduled?

Nope but we open the season with John Curtis, just shows how stupid the AD is.

Morgan city would beat cl this year anyway.
quote:

Must make the head FB coach the AD. Gives half the teacher load up and extra pay

Yep, only way cl will get a quality coach is to offer a coach competitive pay, and the only way to do that in Lafourche is to make him ad also. Then allow him to bring in his own coaching staff. Otherwise it will be the same shite and CL will look to break the states losing streak.
I heard only 29 players came out for spring ball and 3 coaches, at this point I don’t even see how we can field a team for this season.

The problem is the AD, nobody wants to coach for him and coach with him (he’s the DC). Until he’s gone CL will never win in football, and at this point most other sports are just as bad as football or worse.
quote:

Is that why Meyer left to go Morgan City

Nah I'm sure he left cause he saw he wasn't going to win here with the coaching staff as constructed and he's probably making more money at Morgan city because he's the ad too.
Good news, sleeping with students in Lafourche gets you promoted to administration, and the likelihood of ever needing dome sideline passes or running up the score here is remote.
quote:

You right, the one common denominator of all their coaches over the last 20 years is still there and untill hes gone CL football will continue to be irrelevant

He has to retire someday hopefully, but he has a cush job since he was made AD. He will just keep hiring offensive coaches and continue running the defense into the ground like he's playing Madden.

I believe Frank Wilson will definitely get this kid to play for the good guys
IMG academy for high school, he went to St James to improve his grades to get in.
This kid was in my MIL class at St James this year. They had trouble finding school uniforms his size when he first got there.

He's headed to IMG supposedly.

re: Auburn Football in Houma

If they're in Houma I'm sure it's for the freshman running back at Vandy, Jaylon Coleman. He's already the best player in the bayou region right now.

Are you the guy that works on lawnmowers

Don't think so, this guy appears to be the second best starting qb named Neil that Central lafourche has ever had.
