This is not breaking news, the same rumor was floating around last week that Kiffin would take the Auburn job after the Iron Bowl. If Kiffin is seriously wanting to be the head coach at Alabama when Saban retires then I don't think he would take the Auburn job. I can't see Alabama hiring a head coach from their arch rival Auburn.

Not at LSU but in the early 70's my campus job was a janitor in the girls dorm. This was a religious campus and men were not allowed in the girls dorm so anytime I would go down a different hall or floor I had to yell "Man on 2 east(or whatever hall or floor I was on). This would be followed by the sound of slamming doors or running for those caught out in the hall. Although I yelled every time there would be those that didn't hear me because they were in the shower or drying their hair or just asleep. Daily I got to behold sights that I had only dreamed of. Don't remember what I got paid per hour because I never saw the money - it went toward paying for my student loan. Honestly I would have paid them for that job. Good times.

I agree why take the chance of an injury. I like the idea that in college and the pros the quarterback goes to the line and tells both lines that he is taking a knee. Snap the ball take a knee and no one gets injured.

It's very hard to make the right decision or call when you are overly emotional. I'm from the old school of Tom Landry - keep it cool and make the right decision. Just my 1 1/2 cents worth. (Inflation)

I like the setup and also do away with permanent opponents. Place the 2 rival teams into the same pod (I hate the term pods). Auburn/Alabama - Iron Bowl, Miss St/Miss - Egg Bowl, Texas/OU - Red River. I would rather use the North, South, East, West term instead of pods. Just my 1 1/2 cents worth - inflation.

After the game last night I stayed up until 2:30 this morning watching all the replays and interviews just like I did when LSU beat Clemson for the national title. I "slept" a couple of hours and got up this morning and searched for more replays and interviews - just like I did after LSU beat Clemson. Most expected LSU to beat Clemson for the title but few expected LSU to win the regional and advance. I guess that is why I got the same excitement last night. I know it was not the same as the football title but it sure made me feel like it.
