Stupid take.

The NBA does NOT "go nuclear and force" anyone to move. The other owners will make no more money or and any less money by a move of the Pelicans franchise to one of those cities. Ticket revenue is only about a quarter (25%) of total NBA revenue.

The owners will, however, split a BOATLOAD of money (via expansion fees of $5 to S6 BILLION for each expansion team) by awarding those two cities EXPANSION franchises, which will almost certainly occur in the next 3-5 years.

Thus a Pelicans move to either city would likely COST them money by taking away an expansion fee in the next 3-5 years. And believe me, no one place is lining up to pay the hefty expansion fees other than those two cities-- not St. Louis, not Vancouver, not St. Louis, not Tampa Bay, not Kansas City or Cincinnati.

The ONLY reason the NBA gets rid of an owner is in cases like former Clippers owner Donald Sterling. He was a terrible and cheap owner for years and kind of joke amongst the other owners, but what got him banned from the NBA for life and fined $2.5 million by the league only occurred after private recordings of him making racist comments were made public. NBA commissioner Adam Silver then recommended to the NBA board of governors that Sterling be forced to sell the team, and Sterling's wife Shelly reached an agreement for the Sterling Family Trust to sell the Clippers for $2 billion to Steve Ballmer.

Sure they can. They can also remove the team. It only takes a vote from NBA Board of Governors

"It definitely impacts it," Green said. "You know, you want to go in full arenas. [Smiles again] it also helps the entire league out, so [the league] might want to take a look! It's interesting. Might need to take a look." Green's comments came days after Demarcus Cousins said he thinks the Pelicans should relocate. "I think it was time five or six years ago, especially for New Orleans," Cousins said on the "Road Trippin" podcast. "I mean, you go to the games, it's about 36 people there. Courtside's $25. It's not really much going. There's not much success happening for just that part of it. There hasn't been any success. There just hasn't. It's time." Cousins, who played with the Pelicans from 2016-18, played with Green in Golden State in the 2018-19 season. Kendrick Perkins, who also played for the Pelicans, was also asked about the potential of the New Orleans franchise being located. "I played in New Orleans," Perkins said. "Here's the problem with New Orleans. I understand where Demarcus is coming from, where Big Cuz is coming from, because he played there. They are always going to be second to the New Orleans Saints. That city is all about the New Orleans Saints. They don't give a d--- about the Pelicans. You have to f----- win in order to fill seats up."

They are located in New Orleans. A bad team is better than no team at all.

Until they are so bad that people quit attending and the NBA goes nuclear forcing them to move Vegas or Seattle.

Wrong.

"We're going to go forward with Zion. He's going to continue to be a focal point here as we go forward." Dumars and Williamson also spent time together in Chicago in May when the two of them represented the Pelicans at the draft lottery. "I sent him to the lottery for a reason," Dumars said. "I want him to start focusing on the responsibilities of being the best player here and the focal point. There are some responsibilities that come with that. Go represent your organization." Dumars' plan to continue building the franchise around Williamson

Probably a Pelicans employee, Pelicans social media team. Just my guess.

Good trade. Hawks are building up.
So far he is doing a great job at destroying this team and fan base.
