Obama killed poor Arab villagers via drone strike 90% of the time but shhhhh don’t ever bring that up

Boycotting the NFL will never work. I’m willing to wager that the majority of NFL fans are right wing. If the boycotts against Kaepernick or the forced social justice slogans didn’t make a dent in the bottom line, nothing will. That’s a fact.
No shite. What a total blunder, and I like Lupita as an actress.

AND WE AINT BACKIN DOWN

I really sound like I’m shitting on the movie, but I do like it a lot, flaws and all. I just don’t understand how Halloween has made it this far when Texas Chainsaw Massacre didn’t. I think TCM is a legitimately scarier and overall better made movie. Maybe even a perfect movie honestly.

Is The Terminator a slasher?

Just with a gun instead of a knife? May sound silly however It plays like one.

The Terminator is the stalking killer like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees, Sarah Connor was the final girl that the killer is after as well.

The vibe of the movie is dark and scary with a synth score like your typical 80s slasher of the time.

James Cameron has stated on the record he was inspired by Halloween and how John Carpenter & Debra Hill made a hit movie with such a small budget.

The rest of the franchise starting with T2 is obviously blockbuster Action, but I think that first movie is kinda of a low budget slasher movie but with a sci-fi twist to it. I also love the dark cinematography of LA at night.
My favorite part of Halloween is the scene where Linda walks to the laundry room and then walks to Laurie’s house and then walks back to her house to pad out 10 minutes of runtime
What sub genre did Halloween create?

Edit : Mods deleted my post pointing out Black Christmas and Texas Chainsaw Massacre invented the slasher sub genre and not Halloween.
The Exorcist

This whole thing has been a flop to be honest. If Halloween wins this will have been a giant waste of time.

The premise sounds a lot like the Tales from the Crypt episode “Loved to Death” where the guy puts a love potion on his crush and at first it’s great until he realizes she is obsessed with him beyond psychotic stalking.

Crypt episode spoilers:

He then kills himself. Finally free of her at St. Peter’s pearly gates.. until he hears her voice and sees her there with a mutilated face . She got so sad that he offed himself that she put a shotgun barrel in her mouth to be with him again. Now he’s stuck with her forever in the afterlife, minus all of her physical beauty.

Haven’t seen Obsession yet
