When has ..

an unsportsmanlike penalty been called for "hideout tactics"?
Not an expert, and I understand it's a rule. But when does this penalty ever get called? I've watched football for years like all of you, have you ever seen it?
How many unenforced rules are there?
I can understand Auburn fans being mad about the "fumble".
But, a player can be in contact with the ball, and run forward but still not have possession. I think that's how the referees saw it. The ball was moving and rolling on his body the whole time.
As for the "cheating" play, I think Auburn just didn't account for a legal player. Gamesmanship? Maybe so.
Just didn't feel like it was egregious on the referees part.
More to the point why would OU get preferential treatment from SEC referees? We're new on the block.

Red River may be the only guarantee for the Sooners.
It should be Tx, Mizz and either A&M/Ark/LSU
If OU gets 2 top tier teams and 1 second tier, then LSU is the best option. That would be much better geographically than Fla.
I hope they keep the other 6 games on an even rotation. Getting to see all the matchups in a reasonable time period would be great. Especially after reading how some SEC schools haven't played in some stadiums in the conference in a decade or more.

I'd bet their record vs Top 25SEC opponents since 2000 would be like 2-10.
Since 2000 (why 2000?), OU has played a ranked SEC team 16 times. We are 5-11. Not good, but you'd have lost the bet. This record is only against teams that were in the SEC at the time.
If you include teams that make up the SEC today (adding in ranked UT, A&M, and Mizzou teams), the record changes to 26-17.
Interesting that the SEC teams on this list have played roughly the same number of ranked teams as OU.
The schedule argument is tired when you consider ALL the history. Some of the old SEC teams haven't really played each other that much. Why is that? Why did the SEC only require 5 or 6 conference games for decades?
