I honestly believe Lane leaving Ole Miss ( the timing) and the national media exaggerating it made crutes feel LSU is an unstable risk. I could be wrong....but I believe it'll take a couple years for this to be forgotten and if Lane and coaches can be somewhat successful they'll be able to build something great.
