I haven't followed baseball. What is the baseball teams record? Is great or is it terrible?

Does his 5 year nfl hof clock start if he skips to college?

He's already in the HOF
Was on a plane returning home to Dallas from a business meeting in Orlando when I noticed a whole bunch of tall kids with Montverde gear on. I don't follow basketball recruiting much, but I saw two of the kids had on LSU shirts, so I had to ask them if they just liked the colors or were they recruits. They both said they were commits and we had a nice conversation about LSU, Baton Rouge and especially the food they could look forward to. They were very nice, polite and excited about LSU. Seemed like great kids. I'm looking forward to their time and progress at LSU.

I don't post much, just more of a reader and never was a huge Brady fan and always thought that Tiger20 looked through Brady colored glasses a bit like I used to look through Cholly Mac colored glasses back in the day. Having said that, he makes a solid argument. Under the overall circumstances, Brady probably did as good a job, maybe even better, as any coach who would have been willing to take the LSU job at the time.

With the attrition LSU suffered during the Brady years, leaving early, injury, NCAA sanctions and some that have been attributed directly to Brady, those years could have been much worse. Could they have been better...maybe.

Coach Johnson said it himself, (paraphrasing) without those injuries, I'm not the coach here. Now, I think a lot of that statement is a class guy giving his predecessor some props, but there is some truth in the coach's statement. Am I glad Brady's gone? Yes. Does he deserve some credit? Yes. Does he deserve some blame? Yes. Am I going to cut Coach Johnson some slack if next year the team struggles? Yes.

These statements are just my opinion and like everyone else, I probably hold my opinion in higher regard than I probably should, but for right now, I'll enjoy the ride LSU sports has given me over the past several years and I'll continue to enjoy the basketball team's run and give credit to Coach Johnson for the job he's done getting JB's players to believe in a new system and philosophy and excel in it.

Geaux Tiger!!!!
Waiting at a marathon checkpoint in Dallas for my wife to run by, a group of gals running saw my LSU hat and pretty much in unison gave me a Geaux Tigers!

Gave it back to them, then my 10 year old son looks up at me and says "we're everywhere aren't we!!!

Good Moment!

Eddie was there.

1995 Independence Bowl
LSU 45
Michigan St. 26
The Tigers wrapped up the first year of the Gerry DiNardo era with a 45-26 win over Michigan State before a sellout crowd of 48,835. The teams battled evenly in a first half of big plays that included a 78-ya rd TD pass by Michigan State on the second play of the game, an Eddie Kennison kickoff return for a touchdown for LSU, a Michigan State kickoff return for a touchdown and a 51-yard TD run by Kevin Faulk that contributed to a 24-21 MSU halftime lead. But the Tigers broke it open in the second half with 24 unanswered points, including a fumble return for a touchdown by defensive end Gabe Northern. Northern went on to claim defensive player of the game honors and Faulk rushed for a bowl record 234 yards -- the second most rushing yards by an LSU player -- to capture the offensive MVP award. In all, LSU set or tied 11 Independence Bowl records in the romp.
PASSING: Herb Tyler, 10 of 20,164 yards, 1 TD
RUSHING: Kevin Faulk, 25 att., 234 yards, 2 TDs, Long 68 yards
RECEIVING: Eddie Kennison, 5 rec., 124 yards, 1 TD, Long 49 yards
ATTENDANCE: 48,835
For what it's worth, I spoke to a friend who is a coach in Louisiana that used to coach with coach Crowton when he had those great offenses at La Tech and the comment he made to me was,"Coach Crowton is a great OC, but not so much as a quarterbacks coach. He specifically had QB coaches at La Tech to tutor the QB's. LSU would probably need to look at bringing in a good QB coach".

Now, I don't know who specifically coaches the QB's, but if it's Crowton, they might need to look at another option.

He played in the softball games with the team, I assume that means he's not dismissed. Hit a home run too, I think.
thanks for the pics, don't get much lsu baseball coverage here in north texas.
