Having solved all other problems America is facing Massie is looking into (checks notes) an attempt at humor by the White House.
Democrats had their "Lion of the Senate" in Ted (hiccup) Kennedy. Republicans have their "gerbil of the Senate" in Tom (please make Trump stop messing with me) Massie.
Guy is a total joke.

No offense, but this doesn't sound stable at all. She made the decision and resented her husband for it? If your uncle couldn't decide whether or not to propose to her, would she have cut off her left-hand ring finger to end the discussion?
Hope you didn't take too much advice from her...

My wife and I started out marriage thinking "no kids ever". But we changed our minds when our niece came along. Now I couldn't imagine not having kids.
The times when you see them succeed is better than any success I've had (son getting his first wrestling match win, daughter being chair of her section...doesn't have to be big). Their excitement is worth any tough time.
The times when they scare you and you get to guide them through it (daughter's first car accident). Helping them through the pain to see it will get better, who else could do that for them.
All of it is scary and exciting...keeps me young.

2.5 months from retiring. Not sure what to do next. I won't need to work, so I am going to take some time to do things with my dad (in his 70s), but I think I will have to do something. Looking at substitute teaching or advising for the local college, but who knows.
re: As a man, do you cry?

Not in front of very many people. I've lost all my grandparents, plenty of aunts and uncles too. I've lost it when brothers died in uniform but not infront of others. I thought only my wife seen me cry when my grandma passed and later when grandpa died.
But after Mammaw's funeral, my son said, "I saw you had a tear." (He was 8). I thought about it and told him how I feel about men crying. I think it's ok for men to cry for certain things. Loss of a loved one is one of those times. But we cannot let our emotions get the better of us and I'll never judge a man who tears up every once in a while. Now if it's a weekly occurrence....that's different

Take them over to Douglas County. Tell the folks there that these two are from California and broke $200,000 worth of Bass Pro stuff. Those dudes will get retribution in horrible ways.

I wrote letters to my wife, daughter and son on each deployment. Just in case, I wanted them to know how I feel about them. Not easy to write, but seems easier than saying it.

Took the kids there when they were young. We went to Magic Kingdom for a day last year and will probably do it again in a couple of weeks. I didn't think it was that bad, but we do get the military price on tickets.

The constant "surrender to the enemy" country has men who won't act like men...I've also heard that bears defecate in the woods.
