Personally, I think the last one was a targeted event specifically to kill innocents but since they have to push a narrative, they told us it was a gang fight.

said the same exact thing the day it happened. murdering POS kills and injures only bystanders while turning in a circle adn firing his weapon (based on eyewitness accounts). fricker should be facing hate crime charges in addition to everything else. But no way this inept, bleeding heart mayor is going to allow that to be the narrative. So its spun to be a gang fight.

We are lied to every single day by the people we pay to be in charge. Time to clean house and get rid of Sid the Mayor, Sid the sheriff, and the entirety of BRPD. None of them are worth the tax dollars spent on them.

STFU Sid. You nor BRPD has done jack shite to protect anyone. You are utter failures at your jobs and should be charged with malpractice. Nothing but posers at this point.

$4.31 per person for a home cooked meal seems pretty unrealistic unless you're cooking overly processed garbage

If you shop sales and buy family packs of protein and keep the sides simple (think smothered potatoes), I can see the cost being that low. If you go to Whole Foods or Publix and buy organic vegetables and free-range chicken/grass fed beef, yeah, its going to cost you.

Red beans and rice is pretty cheap to make and you can eat on that for a while. Same with spaghetti. Smothered potatoes and stcky chicken is another meal that isn't going to break the bank.

Once i learned i can cook as good if not better than most restaurants, the prospect of eating out has waned. Not to mention the cost

I also find that the older I get, retail meals just aren't as satisfying. Yes, I can go eat sushi or Greek food that is delicious. But that's the exception. Most burger, seafood, and steak places and even most Mexican food places just don't do it for me anymore.
I feel the same way about going out for drinks. I used to absolutely love going to a bar and having a drink. But the older I get the less enthusiasm I have for it. Way more enjoyable drinking on the patio with the dog in my lap then sitting in a bar waiting for an inattentive bartender to pour me another scotch.
Considering how expensive a simple lunch for one is, this isn't hard to grasp. Any place thats actually good is easily over $20.00 for lunch.
Much cheaper to cook on Sunday and eat leftovers. Usually better tasting and a lot better for you , too.
true, but he can be home in a couple of hours since hes stateside. Cant really scoot home to Jupiter (or wherever) from Dubai.

Besides, he could see your beloved LIV was circling the bowl. I'm sure hes content back in the US and having a chance to keep playing PGA golf while the rest of LIV eyes the DP World Tour.
Hey Brooks, it aint the arrow, its the indian.

Their ROI wasn't going to be in the form of cash, it was in the form of sports washing, but with a league that no one watches that wasn't going to come.

yeah, I get that. But I think my point still stands. Whether they wanted actual currency or just a warm and fuzzy feeling, they weren't going to fund LIV forever as some on TR kept claiming. Especially if they didn't get either one.

I hope one of the many takeaways from this saga is the suspension of the silly notion that the Saudis "don't care about money". I've seen that drivel posted here and on the MSB so often and it's just foolish. Anyone who is successful in business wants an ROI. The Saudis are no different. And while they (may) have deeper pockets than most, they want something in return for their money. No one with vast wealth got it by not giving a shite.

ason Day is the best dressed golfer on tour. Guy could fit in with some of the classic golfers from the 40's'-60's.

So much better than the nut huggers other guys are wearing. I think it's funny hating on Jason Day took off by guys who wear skin tight pants and shorts on the course or work out clothes like joggers.

the shorts he sporting in the OP are tragic.

you know they hate losing more than power? Money. I love watching a bureaucrat scream when they start to lose public funding.

Alabama public golf is equivalent to Louisiana private golf. It’s pathetic

I'm surprised states like Colorado, that have multiple courses available, haven't adopted Bama's model. Alabama does an incredible job with promoting golf and accommodating golfers from out of state.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Louisiana sucks in comparison.

There really is not other option. There has to be 1 or 2 more courses added. Our golf in south Louisiana really is complete shite and getting worse tbh….cant get a tee time for a Wednesday morning?? Freaking ridiculous. Every course is booked up.

well go find some land, buy it, and build a course.
had to go to USAA when Farm Bureau went full retard on Homeowners ins. USAA was cheaper overall, but I intend to shop them before long. They aint cheap and customer service is good, but they are more about marketing than anything else.

I’m all for calling out these politicians but I don’t think people understand the amount of damage that Broome did to this city. It’s not something you recover from the day someone else takes office. I think coach is doing what he can with what he’s got. It’s going to take a hell of a long time to recover from what Broome did (if that’s even possible).

ok, tell me all the things any one of them have done to improve the status quo? The mayor is 1.5 years into a four-year term. Sheriff has been in even longer and TJ seems like a hand-picked white version of the previous, racist, black activist chief who was an abject failure as well. I see nothing to indicate any of them want to actually improve crime in BR. And the mayor can't even effectively address the situation verbally. Tell me how they are not failures.

Sid the mayor, Sid the sheriff, and that twat of a police chief are all utter and complete failures. Absolute failures at "protecting". Citizens bitch about CATS, BREC, and COA. Rightfully so. But they should be bitching about paying for two law enforcement agencies that are likely corrupt as any of those agencies.
At least you have property you can go walk on with BREC. I see nothing justifying EBRSO or BRPD at this point. Complete wastes of taxpayer money.
Had a nice experience at Wine Bar on the River. If you want live music and a cold beer, The Warehouse Bar and Grill was fun.
