Corn, corn bread or a simple side salad with oil/vinegar dressing.
Garmin is the way to go. All of the same metrics plus you have a watch. And depending on which model, you can read text, answer calls, etc. Also charging it once a week is a huge perk!

re: TAC 2026

Totally wanted to update this post and forgot.

So myself and 3 other guys went to BFE Arkansas to shoot a Shot 3D Experience event. Totally recommend if any of you bow hunters are interested in shooting 3D. Was very relaxing and not pressure filled. We shot 3 courses in one day. Total of 55 shots. Only lost 4 arrows which I thought wasn't too bad for the first time doing this.

The other guys had gone to TAC in Broken Bow and said the TAC events are packed with people and there is always people waiting/watching your shots.

Needless to say we're planning to attend at least Shot 3D in North Louisiana next year along with probably San Antonio TAC and maybe Michigan TAC. TAC arrow build for next year is in the works with 4mm arrows with goal weight of 375g to help with the longer shots.
I’ll definitely let you know. I think we have at least 3 guys for sure going. They’re going to Illinois or Indiana this year on some public land draw hunt.
I do not but he does great work. Pretty impressive for a 9 week old puppy.

Wish I would have brought my GSP to him when he was a puppy.
If anyone is looking for a good looking female black lab, Rodrigue's Cajun K-9 has one available.

Yup. That's the code. Going to use that point in 2 years. Plan to do Colorado every other.

Next year is hopefully whitetail in Kansas.

I need more vacation days for all of this hunting and TAC events.

2nd rifle cow tag.
Yea that's it.

I couldn't think of it.
There's a code that you enter for deer when applying. It just gives you the point for applying without having to choose a unit. I did it for stash up.
I just did the complimentary deer point.

My buddy did not get drawn for deer. He got his email about 30 minutes ago.

Colorado Draw Results

Have any of you guys received any draw results? I just logged into my account and still nothing yet.

Aiming for first rifle but will just do OTC tag for second rifle if no luck.
I've seen more Eagle Rare and EH Taylor Small Batch on shelves in the last few weeks. Seems like every gas station even has them.

I managed to do one last year that did ok. But this year travel baseball and soccer prevented me from doing anything. I'm planning to go cut my fall plots towards the end of June and put cameras out for bow season.
Magnolia Creek has some beautiful dogs! Beautiful yellow/white dogs.

Next week is Colorado. Crossing my fingers for first rifle.

I'm more interested to see what Johnson does with Yeskie. Does he make a change there or not? Starters have been good. Bullpen has not. More command issues along with some questionable pitch calling.

If you're bored Saturday, go out to Bayou Bowmen. They have a Marked 3D shoot in New Iberia. There is a bow hunter division. I'd be there but my wife planned a graduation party.
SCC scores 4 in the top of the 8th to take a 6-2 lead.
