If you Bama fans can’t see that and accept it as the truth and the reason you got left out of the playoffs, well you are just simply blinded by your own bias.

100% agree with you that is why Bama was left out, so don't even try to say I am biased. The committee had to decide between letting in teams that have proven nothing, or letting in flawed teams that have proved they could get big top 25 wins but also have bad losses. And now we know they made the wrong decision.
Wow, embarrassing for all those who came after OP now that he is proven 100% correct.
Saban has been good overall this year on TV, but agree he could have rolled with that better. But of course it is much more personal to him than it is to us watching it.

Obviously an environment where players can't be systemically paid by the program is/was beneficial to Alabama under Saban, because then at least most of the players were making decisions for reasons other than money, chief among those were where is best to be developed for the NFL. You're a clown if you don't think the NFL pipeline is why Alabama had been getting such great recruiting classes under Saban. Maybe someone related to Alabama paid someone along the line (i'm sure), but it isn't like Alabama was paying 30 players in the recruiting class every single year for a decade plus and just not getting caught.
The teams in the playoffs are supposed to be good. Good thing we know Bama beats good teams. Meanwhile SMU just lost to the only good team they’ve played all year. A team, by the way, that lost to the only two SEC teams it played, which were both dog walked by Bama.

The difference is when it happens to someone else, we all know that Bama fans will be arguing for what is right, because we know their character. All we are seeing tonight is the jealousy from the MSU/LSU’s of the conference.
The committee’s job isn’t to know, it is to assess. So with your family’s lives on the line, you are taking SMU? Don’t punish them just because you don’t know ball.

It’s not that bama “deserves” it, it’s just that there is no team in the last-in discussion that you can argue with a straight face is better than them.

That’s just it - they have no shame. No one on here is arguing that SMU is a better team. It’s just blind bama hatred, just like we see from the media all year long.
Let’s be honest. The media/power structures within college football will do whatever they can do to keep us out. It has nothing to do with the committee’s stated purpose of determining the best teams. No one disagrees that we would be in with that metric. The fact that we are even having this discussion tells you all you need to know about what Bama has to go up against year in and year out.
So you think SMU is better than Bama? With your family’s lives on the line are you taking SMU? That’s the committee’s only job to figure out, if they can get past their anti-SEC/Bama hatred. Some people just don’t know ball.

You gonna punish them for playing in a conference championship while Alabama was sitting at home counting their dick today?

It isn’t possible to “punish” an ACC team for how they perform in their championship, because they must play in that game to be eligible for the playoff.
What do you mean SMU is better than Oklahoma? We have no way of knowing that based on the schedules they play. And then you change Oklahoma for Bama? Sorry it just isn’t a contest.

Which of our wins are you talking about?
LSU would have an argument, but their coaching turmoil spoils it for them. If we knew who would be leading the team next year, maybe it would be different.

You’re gonna have to beat bama, sorry. Fortunately for you, the anti-Bama committee will prob keep us out. But let’s not be casuals and pretend this championship doesn’t have an asterisk.

This is life as a Bama fan, the entire system is set up to fight us, just like what happened last year (Texas). All we can do is keep fighting and hope that there are at least a few folks with integrity on the committee.
As an Alabama fan, however the season ends I will be very interested in how the team (and the coach) can improve going into next year. That will be my focus regardless if they don't make the playoffs, get bounced or win a natty.

However, for CFB as a whole, I don't think you can overstate how important a Bama natty could be for the sport. With NIL, the transfer portal, Saban retiring, the 12-team playoff, conference realignment, etc... there has just been so much change in such a short period of time. While winning another natty would make me happy as an Alabama fan, I will be far happier that all fans of this great sport can rest a little easier knowing that despite all of the jarring changes we have seen, nothing has really changed.

Vandy and Oklahoma beat Alabama. They are good teams. So those are good losses.

They wrote the headline like idiots, but what they mean is that Trump's edge has grown in the race, which is to 270.
I think he's been at 54 most of the day. He's around 61 or so on polymarket.
