No one really knew Obama before the supposed coronation of Hillary Clinton.
True, but all Obama had to do was base a campaign on being some pencil-neck, preacher voice black guy who read speeches well and looked like a safe option for suburban women who love to get credit on social media for doing dumb shite.
I'm not sure Ossoff has enough name recognition to be the choice.
For all of Biden's faults and Kamala's faults, they were known commodities.
Obama was a relative unknown, but he rode the allure of possibly becoming the first black president.
If you went and asked 100 random people in Philly, St, Louis, Cleveland or any midsize towns in Pennsylvania: Who is Jon Ossoff.....who is going to be able to identify that guy by name or photo?
He has no built up name recognition outside Georgia and he is not a POC or LQBTQ+ABC DEFG hero.

I'm actually in favor of getting Murphy consistent ABs during the next week or two -- just to get a better read on where he is at and if he could be a legit piece on the playoff roster for some of those ABs.

The Atlanta Hawks mascot is in the crowd -- pretty much straight across the court in the far right end of the video frame. He is looking directly at Reese's layup attempt and then immediately turns his head sharply in disgust (in the crowd).
ETA. Hawk is hidden by backboard a bit, but he is visible right after the miss with his look of shame.

Yup, if you see a group of 7 or 8 "cotton candy enthusiasts" -- just head the other way.

At this point, it's pretty obvious state fairs and some concerts are a no go. I'm fine with that because I have no desire to walk past these rides and cotton candy sellers at 9:30 pm.
If you are a normal family who has parents in a 105-130 IQ range....get your kids interested in things like reading, AP classes, science fairs. You know, thee kind of places where you aren't going to encounter this shite.
But Doctor B, what can they do for fun?
State parks, major sports events like college or NFL games. People behind the NFL shield aren't going to let 14 dumbarses beat up your 4-year-old because it would hurt their brand.
You just have to pick your spots....spelling bees, chemistry classes, 4H, chess club, AP...hell, go snorkeling....

Like, imagine accomplishing the greatest thing you'll ever do by age 20.
You think you're the next Drew Barrymore in 2009 and then literally everything goes wrong over and over again for the next 17 years. It has to be a brutal existence.
A lot of people have life stories like this. Sometimes people have success early in their careers -- maybe a person is a GM at a major business early in his or her career or a big deal in some legal or medical field -- then a family illness, natural disaster, car wreck or some other event throws everything into turmoil.
I'm not coming down on Panettiere....just saying those developments happen to many people.
She was in some high-profile movies and series in her teens and early 20s. Might have been a combination of pain over giving up custody of her daughter, career struggles in her mid 30s -- depression.

Random people in their 40s and 50s who never played organized basketball past high school could manage to look more coordinated than her while making a layup.

AA treating SS like it’s LF has been weird since Dansby left
Kim was supposed to be that guy who could hit .265 with around 15 to 17 homers and adequate or above average defense. He did that in other seasons.
I agree AA makes mistakes, but he didn't cause Kim to slip on some ice, bust up his hand and hit under .100

Yeah give me either one. I think the jarvis experiment has run its course.
He's hitting ninth. As long as he drives in a run or two here and there, moves runners along with sac bunts and plays decent defense -- he is giving us what should be expected from a rookie.
Giving him ABs in the regular season isn't killing anything. Even if they put Dubon at SS, Kim has sucked so bad that they need to keep Jarvis as a SS/PH/PR option.

Frankly, one satisfying thing is...people from around the globe are finding out what we have dealt with for decades. Fatiguers yelling things like: I'm gonna beat you the frick up, B

There need to be greater age differentials between teachers and students. Like, 20 years minimum.
The problem is the people who graduate with bachelor's degrees at 22 or 23 in education aren't going to be able to go a decade without having income to pay bills, pay back student loans, etc.

Major part of the reason why this situation never improves (in big terms).
Anytime somebody starts throwing out lines about "the value of school and work" -- these mf-ers start booing at their 83" TV screens.
"Our mama had us on Medicaid since we were babies"

Heading into work -- a couple of obese female fatiguers were on speakerphone sitting on a bench next to a post office. They were talking with somebody about their Medicaid status and the forms involved.
That's when ol' girl throws out this line: "I don't know anything about all that (the application and/or renewal forms). Our mama had us on Medicaid since we were babies."
IDC if this is a Dear Facebook moment. This bullshite of these mf-ers getting 'free food' medical, housing from cradle to grave needs to go away.
Most ridiculous shite. Other people having to pay for their food, student loans, rent, etc.

Of course she paints her critics as a bunch of mouth breathers who are making up stuff.
A woman clotheslined an opponent who was in midair and then she runs to social media to tell everybody "White Privilege" was the reason for her ejection.
Then this coach channels her inner Michelle Obama by saying: When they go low, we go high. Like she is campaigning in a political race or some shite.

t's mind-boggling. Michigan didn't want him throwing much, but nfl people are always reaching when it comes to the QB position
Agreed. Even if you just looked at his college stats, it always felt like they were: 16-23 for 173 yards, 2 TD or 1 TD, 1 rush TD.

I work in a downtown area in a college town. There is a black person who wanders around and dresses up like Mario in a full Mario/Luigi set of costumes. Doesn't work, doesn't do shite. I'll see her wandering around by a post office, downtown library, etc. during my work commute or when I'm at lunch.
I think instead of paying back my student loans from college, I should have just sent them a note saying: I'm dressing up as a video game character for the next several years.
