I think the bigger problem would be Virginia (or legislature) wanting Virginia Tech to stay in the ACC.
The backup plan could be Louisville or maybe Missouri to the north.
Missouri in the North could open a spot to a Oklahoma or another Texas team to the West....

I don't like a 13 team conference. Go ahead and go to 14, seven in the east and seven in the west.

Orlando and Dallas are too far away a week after the season is over.
