Only if it’s a LHP… for some reason imo it seems like nowadays this only plays if it’s coming from a southpaw… like dare I even say it [trigger warning for any Braves fans] but I feel like guys like Greg Maddux would get crushed in this era of baseball… Imo, it just seems like the upper 80’s paint artist type RHP just doesn’t seem to play anymore…

~Sidenote~ Do you remember that LHP Jamie Moyer? Dude was a certified card carrying AARP member and didn’t throw over 80mph, yet he won more games for the Mariners than Randy Johnson… and what’s even crazier about his career, is the fact that he really saw/had the most success during the ‘ROID era…

Some people really need to come to terms with the landscape of college sports nowadays. The portal and NiL have completely changed the game.

Gone are the days of coaches being evaluated on their “development” skills… if a kid needs to be “developed” then he can do so at one of our farm clubs and we’ll call him up in a year or 2 when he’s ready. College baseball, especially SEC baseball, is not that different than the league anymore, just smaller paychecks…

Umm pretty much…
Pretty much everyone that’s entered the portal so far has done so because they have either “been processed” or because they can see the writing on the wall and realize it will take something drastic for them to get immediate/significant playing time…
I mean just use Kucherak as an example, why would he come here, waste an entire year pretty much, just to transfer somewhere else when he’s about to get his shot? Because he knows somehow, whether it’s because he’s had a talk with Jay or because he knows Braswell’s coming back for sure, idk, that he’s most likely looking at another year of limited playing time…
