Compared to what? The absolute implosion of the pigs at the SEC tournament and a regional at home. For once, that coach needs to take some responsibility for the poor performance of his teams in post season play. It’s always, “we don’t have the players” etc, etc. Who recruited those players? You’ll never hear “we didn’t get it done, and some of that falls on me”.

Agreed 100%. Living in Arkansas, we unfortunately get to see way too many DVH press conferences and hear his seasonal laundry list of excuses for not achieving whatever it might be. One thing I have noted over the years is he absolutely never takes any blame or assumes any accountability for failures during the season.

Sounds like ol’ Dave is taking a shot at last years CWS championship. Hey Dave, you got guys from the portal too, just didn’t get it done. Also, to make an excuse that SEMO has some older players ? You’ve got 2 pitchers that have been there 6 years counting Covid. And finally, to say that without Smith they are only “average”. Imagine being a current player or high school commit and seeing that line.

That's one of the oldest teams we've faced all year by a lot. Right fielder is 24 years old, a couple of 23-year-olds, 22-year-olds. Now, they got a freshman playing second base that hit a home run today and that's rare these days, especially in the mid-majors. They've been really old. That's what you get. But you take Hagen Smith away from us and we're pretty average...
