Jeff Landry is a complete and total arse hat. To appoint that goon (Madison) who had zero experience in wildlife and zero ties to the state was baffling. It should shock no one that she is taking the first Federal position offered to her. Landry was clearly returning a favor to someone and gave zero shites about LDWF or the state when he made the appointment. Can't wait to see who that jackarse appoints next.

5 Day Water Fast

Posted by BassMaster318 on 1/30/25 at 9:12 pm
Started a 5 day water fast today at 6pm. Trying to reset my body and reverse a couple months of shite eating.
I have made my opinion as well as Madison's opinion clear on this site. A 7 mag at 100 yards for a doe is absolutely insane... I previously posted about unethical hunters letting their young kids take shots that they were not ready to take which would be the glass floor of my stance. Now I have a hunter basically letting his kid nuke a doe at 100 yards and then brag about a bunch of kids shooting immature deer. Im at a loss right now... I never thought we as louisianans would get here. I am a libertarian but it is time for the government to step in and regulate children hunting in our great state. As I have stated before, I have active communication with Madison and this will be addressed.
Aren't you a livescope nerd? Why are you relying on the weather to catch fish?
I am very good friends with Kurt Cox. He is a python removal expert in Florida. Guy was a petroleum geologist, avid sailor, cave dived all over the world, and climbed Everest. He has not made a statement about the weather killing off the fanged beasts so I assume it will not have much impact. To the person bitching about the lizard... buy a pellet gun.

re: Being a small town attorney

Unless you work big law, I have never understood why one would be an attorney. Make partner in 9 years and 1 million a year, or make shite money, with the stress, and try to get any client you can...
I never let anyone hunt my land, too much liability.

That deer is likely full of cancer.

How to keep life interesting

Posted by BassMaster318 on 8/3/24 at 9:22 pm
I am single and in my 30s, I think the days of having kids have passed. I have a great job and make a decent salary. But life just feels like it has gotten boring. It feels like I just go through the motions and should be happy but I am just not. I can't imagine keeping this routine until 60 and I retire. How do people keep life exciting?
Yes, I was bit on the eyebrow and had to get plastic surgery. I still am missing half of my brow hair but I no longer have a huge hole.

Since doc appointment I am down to 182. I have only been eating 93/7 beef and frozen berry medley. I have been doing compound lifts. I was able to squat 275 for 6 and deadlift 295 for 6... but my energy is not great.

I am having to buy new pants. I am starting to see real definition in my stomach. I will likely stop dieting once I hit 175.

I just came into some money.

I make an average salary and have managed to make it to my 30's with no debt. My grandfather passed and left myself and some siblings an inheritance. After tax I am looking at about 200k. I live an affordable lifestyle in an apartment and do not plan on any major purchases in the near future. Would it be an awful idea to put the entire amount in the S&P 500 ETF and not look at it for 10 years?

Yeah my blood work came back fine. Testosterone came back a little low. I already do compound lifts. He basically just told me to lose 20lbs and then we can get more granular. I haven't been in the 170's since my mid 20's so its going to be an uphill battle.

Weird Advice from Doctor

Posted by BassMaster318 on 7/6/24 at 6:39 pm
Went to the Doc for a check up and I'm currently in my mid 30's 5'9 and 190lbs. I started talking to him about longevity and different vitamins/supplements/diets. He told me that really the only thing that matters right now is getting down to 170lbs. Basically said ignore all of the other youtube advice, get to 170lbs and then come back and we can talk about different diets and supplements. Felt like this was strange advice coming from a doctor.
Not trying to be a downer but everyone and their dog will be on the rivers in that area over the next week. I'd rely on the guide but trying to find a spot to yourself will be tough.
Old Baw on our lake in NE louisiana goes out and keeps 30 a day with livescope. Baw doesnt miss a day and donates the fish to his church. Its a problem.

Coastal Stripers are a lot of fun on topwater.
Just quit my job at a Big 4 in a large city. Likely the most miserable experience of my life. The job itself was fairly boring but the level of brown nosing and throwing others under the bus was something I had never witnessed before. Truly a gross environment.

They are allowing the public to tag them?
