re: Is this the art of the deal?

As predicted the gas prices have fallen and inflation has stagnated some. Anyone think this holds through December?
Fake news, yet many will comment without knowing the details.

Is this the art of the deal?

I said when this coof thing first started the government would test to see how far they could go with these restrictions in order to further control of the country. As anyone with eyes and a brain can see they have pushed right up to the brink of widespread civil unrest before they are now starting to relax the pressure. Will things go back to normal? Watch for the changes to include things that have been tolerated to this point. I think mostly it will deal with regulations and restrictions on small businesses because they are not nearly as easy to control as big corporations. While everyone is looking over at the medical restrictions and mandates, few are paying attention to the the business side of things.

Also inflation and supply chain interruptions are hurting the small businesses much more than the corporations. Watch for these things to continue to get worse for the next few months until the pressure is relieved before midterms. Politicians know that people have such short term memories that they can bring back the vote by throwing a few crumbs at their voters.

You let inflation drop by 2% and gas prices decline by .50 and people will be singing the politicians praises.

I see a lot of people on here giving O credit for winning a championship. If he had a significant part in that championship it would show in the following years. The fact that it has not shown means he is receiving undo credit.

Not sure if you are aware of this, but there were no losses in the 2019 championship season.

Coach O did not win a championship.

Coach O was the head coach of a team that won a championship.

The assistants, Joe Burrow, and other really good leaders on the defense won the championship.

re: Stark contrast in coaching

This was a huge one. I noticed the Kelly figured out LSU was weak in the middle so he adjusted to not throwing to the outside receivers and it obviously worked. Running the iso worked well for them as well.

LSU obviously could not run up the middle due to the heavy inside blitz, but I never saw wheel routes or bubble screens, or quick pitches to try and get the edge on the blitz. They finally did a few quick hitches and drags that worked well for them but there didn't seem to be a hot route, middle slant, for when they blitzed.

Stark contrast in coaching

Last night should have shown everyone who makes decisions the difference a good coach makes.

I by no means think Kelly is a great coach but he was competent enough to exploit LSU's glaring weaknesses. While LSU did little to adjust to UCLA's. Also don't give me that well the players weren't making plays, the other coaches have the same problems and have to adjust.
Can we please stop bumping this FFS. I'm trying to get stuff at a reasonable price and every time it gets bumped the prices go up. Thank you.

A picture of one of the MIB holding up a flashy thing memory eraser. Caption "These are peaceful protest". Standing in front of a burning building.

DCA is fine. Posting "BUYING OPPORTUNITY" every other day from a 1k drop is a different ballgame.

I didn't put it when there was a 1k drop. There was over 5k drop when I posted this and many great stocks are dropping with the sentiment of the market.

However I should have clarified that you should talk to someone who knows stock values before just dumping money in the stock market. There are many stocks that are a great value today. Even if they drop some in the next few weeks they are still a great value today.

On days and weeks like what we’ve been experiencing why wouldn’t I just go buy airline and oil stocks?

Those companies aren’t going bankrupt and will bounce back, right?

Why wouldn’t I buy ConocoPhillips and AA/Delta right now?

Because the stock market is bad and you should spend your money on boats, cars, and 4 wheelers.

Seriously though if you have extra money that won't put you in a bind with bills for the next few months. Buy away. The stocks you mentioned will be beat up until the virus thing starts to calm down but will come back to a sensible valuation. You can ask someone who knows stock values what stocks you are interested in should be valued at and see where you want to get in at. Ask someone with more than 15 years of valuing stocks. If you don't know someone pay financial adviser or stock broker for an hour of their time to discuss the stocks you like.

You're going to run out of hands for that falling knife.

I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks. You are right though I'm an old fool who doesn't know what I'm talking about. Save your money I'm sure you are already super rich.

Time to buy stocks

I won't say what stocks you should buy but I will say that anyone who has any extra money laying around would be missing the chance of a lifetime not investing that money in the stock market in the next few days.

I missed this advice when I was in my 20's and 30's and some older friends tried to tell me to buy the dip. I thought of every excuse in the world as to why I shouldn't invest that extra money. Thankfully I've had several opportunities since then and made some money. This is the kind of dip that can make a very nice retirement fund from. I am sure everyone on this board already knows this but I wanted to put this out there for all the lurkers who may not be sure. BUY THE DIP!

I would start buying today and keep buying until I ran out of extra money. Don't think you can catch it on the way back up because you will have to have perfect timing for that.

Sold at 12.30 :nana: not bad. I know I said long term but figured I would take the profit and see where it goes.

Based off the new truck design, I would sell quickly.

Couldn't resist when it dropped to 10.90 today I snapped up 1,000 shares. We will see where it goes.

I have been looking at a long term position in ET because of the super tanker project. I think that would be huge for them if it gets completed. I know their recent quarterly profit missed but everything looks good for future earnings. I don't understand why they are paying such a high dividend.

Any input would be appreciated.

Good luck with it though.

I turned out okay. I got out this morning at 5.90 with a nice little gain. I just started playing around with stocks because I'm working in a location where playing poker is limited. Most of my extra money goes to real estate and 401k. I just asked the question on here because I was to lazy to find it after a few searches didn't give me a clear picture as to how likely it was.

Thank for the input
