Like Nick Saban and Les Miles? That narrative is simply not true. I want someone who can coach football and relate to the players. I don’t give a crap if they can relate to the people of Louisiana.

His defense got lit up the minute we started facing mobile QBs. The defense has no clue how to contain a mobile QB and frankly it’s mind-boggling. We over rush and take bad angles every damn time.

Here’s the latest from LSU, Brian Kelly drove up, went straight to the team room, talked to the team, left five minutes later, about ten minutes after that all the players departed
Yelled at them for 5 minutes for getting him fired?
Watershed moment when I knew BK was the wrong guy

Last year, LSU is up 17-7 at A&M at halftime. A&M puts Marcel Reed in after struggling to move the ball. He goes off. LSU can’t stop him. LSU loses. LSU has two weeks to prepare for Alabama/Milroe, a pretty average Alabama team whose offense is one-dimensional (running QB). Two weeks to prepare and absolutely nothing changes. Kelly and his staff have no answers. No adjustments. No idea how to contain a mobile QB, over rush every damn time. LSU gets blown out at home A year later, it’s the same story. But don’t worry, Kelly is “looking into it.” F that guy. Miserable prick. He can’t be gone soon enough.

I think LSU is going run down their throats if they do that. For all his faults, Kelly is usually pretty quick to remedy glaring problems in the program.
Um…LSU had two weeks to prepare for a one-dimensional Alabama offense (running QB) after getting torched the previous game by a running QB. How’d we do there? Ima politely disagree with you there. I’m still pissed about that game.

I was in North Georgia wildlife management area fly fishing with a buddy at the time. I drove around until I got WWL on my car radio. We started a fire, set up camp, and I woke up the mountains when we made the final interception. Brown liquor was flowing through my veins at that point. The best part of that game is when Nix stops in the end zone because a whistle was blown in the crowd and gets sacked for a safety. Learned about his later.

I have two at UGA and neither gives a crap about football. Feel like I’ve failed as a father. Lol.
Aside, I’m still friggen pissed we lost to them last year at home. We had two weeks to prepare. They were a mediocre team with a one-dimensional offense (running QB) and we had no answer after getting torched by a running QB the game before. Made it worse that I drove down and paid a ton on tickets for that pitiful performance.

His possession of the ball didn't survive contact with the ground
Yes he did maintain possession. That’s the other part that doesn’t make any sense. The ball moved when he made contact with the ground (which it can), but he kept possession. That was a horrible overturn any way you look at it.

So Nuss is literally suppose to just do everything?
I do think there are times when he needs to run it. He doesn’t need to be JD, but there were times last year when he had opportunities and took a a sack/incompletion instead. If defenses know he won’t run, so that’s one less thing they have to defend. Every once in a while would at least keep the defense honest.
re: Darryl Strawberry is repping LSU at Citi Field

I met him once in an elevator in Savanah, Ga. I was holding my son, who was about 3. My son had been developing a shriek that could shatter glass. When we were in the elevator together, my son let loose. We reached our floor and Darryl Strawberry held the door open for us. I asked him, “Still better than the Daaaarryl! chants?” as we exited. He laughed and said,”Waaay better! But your son got skills.” Lol

He got a lot of crap early on in the season. We scored 6 runs in the championship series and won the CWS. The pitching and development of pitchers is what got us there. Not meant to take anything away from Jay. But feel like he deserves some appreciation.
re: What’s your opinion on the called intentional hit by pitch
Posted by cmjellybean on 6/21/25 at 9:23 pm to Meatball
What the rule SHOULD be: If the batter moves over or towards the plate, he’s out. They watch this crap in slo-mo and see a guy dropping his elbow. The reason they’re dropping their elbow is because they have an arm guard and are naturally trying to protect themselves. When a pitch is coming at you 90+, your instincts kick in. He did not move towards the plate. bullshite call.

There are like 10 different things that could have cost LSU the game, like not turning a dp in the 7th…twice. I would hardly have blamed Braswell for that game had LSU lost. He went to high school with my daughter. Great kid.
