Sorry I meant to say the reverse. I think he would get a full ride by track, if he didnt play football.
Scouting report on TK Fleming?
Posted by wilder on 2/17/10 at 8:29 pm
I know he holds an LSU offer and is a 3 star, but how good is he? What is his strengths and weaknesses. This is one of the few kids I think is very viable as a Football/Track Athlete. He has the third longest TJ in the country and 5th longest LJ right now. Could this be a track scholly football "walk-on"?

It amazes me the amount of people who call themselves college football fans that still don't know the difference between D1 and D2.
Why can't the smaller LA schools get it together?

With the talent in the area (gulf south included) why are winning season for I-A colleges in LA so few and far between? Shouldn't 7-5 seasons be pretty regular at least? Even though a lot of the top talent that doesn't go to LSU gets raided, there should still be enough guys to fill up some teams.

he had like a .8 GPA
If that's true he doesn't deserve to step near a college campus much less play CFB. That's not even a D average. You'd have to try to get that bad of grades.
re: What do you think is a reasonable record for LSU in 2010?

8-5 or 9-4. I don't think Miles learned anything from the Ole Miss loss. He almost made the same mistakes just a week later but lucked out. Sure the man can recruit, but I think against most other SEC coaches there is a disadvantage on our sideline with him. It could get real messy next year. If we lose early and quit like we did in 2008 I'd expect a 6-6 season. These threads are great and every spring we predict our team to go 12-0 or 11-1. If this is just a slap hands and high five thread, then sure, let's say we're going to win the BCSNCG. Otherwise, there's not a whole lot to show from last year that proves we will do great next year. A lot of next years success depends on young players with limited experience. You can't rely too much on that.

What the hell is east coast socal?
Offer him now.
I like your fire ez. We shouldn't have to wait to be a monster though. We already have ridiculous talent now.
Preferred Walk On?
Is he greyshirting? All that means is he is taking a spot from next years class huh?

Yes, in Louisiana cronyism and nepotism rule. It doesn't work like that everywhere. Louisiana is fricked up.
Good thing we live here. Rising to the top ain't that hard! Enjoy Texas! Isn't your governor succeeding y'all from the union soon?

If I'm going up against an LSU grad with my UT degree, I feel pretty damn confident that I'm the better applicant.
And maybe if I was smart enough to apply for a job with a Fraternity brother or with a connection of similar nature, all that hard work for your UT degree might be for naught.

We probably need to focus on loading up the line first before we really worry if skill players are coming here. What good is the best receivers in the nation going to do if the QB is hurried every play into throws on the run or even worse, sacks. Get the line up to par.
shite I thought this was going to be another bye bye thread haha.

I didn't realize Nichols moved to division 2. Maybe you mean 1-AA, which is totally different. Nitpicky, but if you follow NCAA football I can't understand how you can make this mistake.
Anyone else notice the ref has been calling people by their name or their position tonight? Wtf?
