What are Blake Baker’s accolades?

I don’t ask this facetiously, genuinely curious.
House has destroyed an entire generation of talent
Why is this team so cocky all of a sudden? | Part 1

Welp, here we are. 5 days ago Dennis Allen was SO snarky to the media in his post game interview, “I see you guys aren’t asking about the QB play this week”. Lol the short sightedness of him to say this is INSANE. We literally just beat the worst team in the NFL, and he’s mouthing off to the media ahead of a short week to virtually stay in the playoff hunt? It’s downright unprofessional and dumb as hell. I’m glad this is happening to DA. I told y’all this would happen on Sunday afternoon and here we are. Hilarious lmao

By the way, what time is the parade for beating Tony sopranos cousin?
LOL. We have bad coaches. Fire them, get a young QB in the draft and move on from this era.

Plan for the next few weeks and beyond

- Lose in devastating fashion to the Rams. All the cockiness that's been built up from beating the literal two worst teams in the NFL as well as Allen's snarky comments about our $150mm QB's improved play will completely blow up in our faces Thursday.

- As a result, our playoff chances drop to below 20% and our team is at an all-season low as the reality sets in that we won't make the playoffs with potentially the easiest schedule in modern NFL history and giving Allen the QB he wanted and a moderately healthy offense. Wow

- The team all but gives up and the Bucs beat us the following week. Season officially over.

- Dennis Allen is fired after the season. Carmichael is relieved of his play-calling duties (he can stay on as an analyst if he wants)

- Saints hire a new coach with a modern offensive mind that is intellectually capable of running an offense that utilizes pre-snap movement and basic play action (I know this is the bare minimum, but Carmichael is last in the the NFL in both these categories)

- Saints are poised for a pick in the 8-10 range in the draft.

- Draft a young QB that's capable of actually selling some tickets and *potentially* injecting some excitement into the building

Sounds like a plan? Let's do it!
Underhill said it’s going to be “a bit”. Whatever that means.

He has a good arm but this statement is a stretch. Russell and Mettenberger are within a generation

I think there’s a massive difference between “I’m 6-4+, 250+ pounds and can take a 3 step drop and launch into orbit 70 yards” vs. what Nuss is - can flick his wrist without taking a single step and throw an absolute frozen rope (literally 5° max angle of release) 35 yards to a receiver without the ball losing height at all (think Rodgers, Favre, Marino)

Generational arm strength (laughing emoji)

I mean this is probably true just from a strength perspective (not talking about accuracy at all). He basically flicked his wrist and threw a 40 yard screamer on a rope to Malik against Georgia. The commentators audibly gasped

Can’t wait to see him get a few weeks of practice with the starters to see how he does. Generational arm strength that we got flashes of in last years SECCG.
- Allen making snippy comments in the press conference like "I see no one is asking about the poor QB play this time around" Lmao, really dude? The $150mm QB barely had 300 yards for the first time in 3 months and you're bragging?

- Multiple players taunting Devito and acting like we won the SB on twitter after the game

Gloating after yesterday's win is EXACTLY why they are going to get their arse kicked on a short week traveling to the west coast against a team we have terrible history with. They have won two games in a row against literally the worst two teams in the league. This is just setting up terribly in my opinion.

And now Allen is making snarky comments? Bro you have the worst coaching record of any current HC right now. To this day in your head coaching career, you do not have a single win against a team with a winning record lmao (yes this is true which is wild). This is going to crash and burn isn't it? I'm so here for it.

I think there's a very solid chance he's out for the season. Do not underestimate how detrimental even a week or two off can be for his body / diet. It's the same thing all over again. Missed reps, multiple time spent off, then he'll have to go through a "minutes restriction" on his return, his confidence killed, won't be gelling with players. What a disaster

So in 2025 we get to play in Norman in late November in a howling north wind.

I think 2024 is sort of an enigma year for the schedule. The SEC will sort of ‘reset’ their schedule starting in 2025 like they had always planned
Week 1 (9/1): USC (Las Vegas)
Week 2 (9/7): Nichols St.
Week 3 (9/14): @ South Carolina
Week 4 (9/21): UCLA
Week 5 (9/28): South Alabama
Week 6 (10/5): OPEN
Week 7 (10/12): Ole Miss
Week 8 (10/19): @ Arkansas
Week 9 (10/26): @ Texas A&M
Week 10 (11/2): OPEN
Week 11 (11/9): Alabama
Week 12 (11/16): @ Florida
Week 13 (11/23): Vanderbilt
Week 14 (11/30): Oklahoma

It's an ankle sprain he fully practiced on yesterday. I bet he'll be back by the Spurs game.

Man... you'll never learn will you lmao

This is unfortunate. Our next 7-8 games are really easy and we need to step on the gas here before the second half of the season takes off. We're going to wish we had these wins come April. I'm absolutely terrified this is going to turn into a "we'll evaluate in two weeks" type of deal and he misses 9-10 games. God almighty.

***

"Bro he practiced today he'll be fine" Lmao, not falling for that again. He was practicing for a full month back in April 2023 and was doing windmills and stuff before our final games. He refused to come in because he "didn't feel like Zion again". Do not underestimate what even a week or two off can do to his body. It could be season ending. We've seen this story before. God, I'm scared

John Sigler: “Dennis Allen's .318 record in 66 games as an NFL head coach ranks 185th out of 198 coaches with 50+ games in the history of pro football.”

Nice! Keep it up DA!

Darren Rizzi

He has to be the dumbest motherfricker alive, right? He was absolutely losing it at the ref about the no call on roughing the kicker. He didn't know the rule doesn't apply to rugby-style kickers lmao. The refs were probably making fun of how dumb he was after the game. You would think this would be something he would know considering, you know, he went out of his way to get Hedley a rugby-style kicker (who sucks complete arse by the way) in pace of Gillikin, a normal-style kicker.

How no one has made a bigger deal of it is an embarrassment to the organization. It's really a microcosm of how this team is being run with Allen at the helm. People think Allen's role as a HC boils down to his defensive performance, but this is one of those things Payton would have never missed. It's unfathomable how many bad decisions Allen and staff has made in the span of two years.
