"Being There" has many parables to the present day POTUS

We would be better off with Peter Sellers character in charge today
Peveto and Jack Curtis the DC at Tulane are brothers in law

They married two drop dead gorgeous twins

Pev is a good coach and did a lot for LSU but it was time for him to move on

I wish him the best of luck
This is the worst coached team WITH NO HEART that I've ever seen!!!

I hope I made myself crystal clear, I don't care if you disagree with me, the guy can coach and is making 400-500K a year.

How many of you nimrods make in excess of his salary?

Who is the dumbass?

Pev is a good football coach.

Players love him and play their arse off for the guy.

His Co-DC stint obviously failed, but the guy can recruit and is a high energy guy that will mesh well with Coach O

He has his faults, but the guy can coach the game of football.

He may not be a HC or a DC, but the guy is good at motivation and recruiting and is a damn good ST coach.

Kiss my arse if you disagree.

re: Drew Dileo

Drew is a great player from a great family. He has had a great, productive career at UM and is also a great student.

He got offered by UM and made a great choice.

In '07 there were only two teams that could physically compete with Parkview in AAA. Westlake and Redemptorist. Westlake was very good and physically was able to neutralize Parkview's very good offensive line. Drew was the difference in the game, but it was two good teams slugging it out in a great football game.

Either team could have won the game, Parkview knows how to win. This week excepted. Congrats to Catholic High, they have a great team this year.
Karl is a complete piece of shite

I hope his son is nothing like his father

Most Latech supporters have a serious case of penis envy when it comes to anything LSU
Champ

Kids and their parents recruit Parkview.

Iamsure there is discussion at many Jr high games among parents of good athletes about attending Parkview, but to say Kenny or Jay Mayet go to Jr high games specifically to target kids is simply erroneous.

90 percent of the players have been there since elementary school

8 - 10 percent transfer in 6-8 grade, many to play football but Kenny isn't recruiting them, their parents are recruiting the Parkview experience.

Parents would be wise to send their kids to Parkview, especially in the next 7-8 years, Mayet''s kids are starting Jr high and the teams will remain insanely competitive for that duration.

Don't hate them bc they are good at what they do

re: Lyn Rollins and Ronnie Rantz....

I think Rantz and Rollins are great.

Lyn comes from a radio background, so he can get a little wordy for TV.

Both are great calling baseball, very knowledgable, and fair to the opposing teams.

Rollins is a true professional and Rantz is very good IMO.

I wish Rollins or frankly anyone but Hawthorne was our football Play by Play guy. Hawthorne is OK with baseball, but I simply cannot stand him for football. Way too negative!

A warning to all SEC fans: Morgantown is a shithole and their fans are far worse than any experience anyone could have ever endured at any SEC home venue.

Toothless, uneducated drunk hillbillys!

After LSU beat them last fall, a drunk WVU fan challenged my wife, yes my wife, to a fight.

Needless to say, I will never travel to Morgantown again, and I am no prude. I can handle cursing, drunkeness, and generally laugh and scoff at ridiculous over the top behavior, but our experience in Morgantown was scary.

The tsips can have all they want with the Mountaineers.
Yes, Natch Central wins 51-46 over Bonnabel
The Roosevelt Hotel is owned by Lod Cook and Sam Friedman, two distinguished LSU alums.

Anybody that believes that Latech to UH is a lateral move is simply uninformed.

Well with Holtz and crew calling the game, that is at least 3 people who will be there.

Literally no-one from TCU will go to this game and Latech is not even taking their whole band.

Will be an embarrasing crowd.

Too bad, this is latech's best team in years. The sad thing is their coach will probably leave.

re: final four in 5a football

Natchitoches Central played Byrd in pre season and beat them 5 scores to 2. WM and NC played a very competitive game, with WM pulling away late, but the score was tied late in the 3rd or early 4th QTR.

Carencro DESTROYED NC!

Carencro runs a very effective double slot option attack. Huge, athletic, QB and #5 is an exceptional back, who if qualified would have some CUSA level offers. Two very quality D-lineman.

Carencro is the best of those three, IMV.

Byrd's QB is exceptional and those kids play extremely hard.

Should be an exciting final 4 in 5A

Mandeville has a chance, so long as the refs are not from Monroe area.

I agree with your assessment, the anti-rematch sentiment is growing.

While Bama has a great "brand" and incredible TV draw, the hype and National media will be anti rematch, especially if LSU is undefeated.

Most voters will realize that Bama had their chance and may likely vote OSU into the big game.

If so, it makes for a potentially better TV matchup, as the nation would not want to see another "defensive" struggle.

I think you are on to something.

I would love to beat Bama and Saban again, but most people realize that Bama had their chance AT HOME and therefore the anti-rematch sentiment will only grow over the next two weeks, especially if we remain undefeated.

I have been hearing this

Not sure there is anything to it, but it makes some sense.

It is about time that lil nicky wore out his welcome, in Tuscaloosa

re: RE: John Ferguson and Walter Hill

I guess on second thought, John did struggle from time to time regarding a completely accurate description of what was happening. But, in contrast to Hawthorne, he was never negative in his "tone".

For example, against Bama the other night, on the trick play, Hawthorne can be heard saying the receiver is "wide open, it's intercepted" literally without a break. Jim is a good guy, but needs to stick to baseball, we need a new John Ferguson.

I miss John Ferguson.
