re: Keesler on lockdown for active shooter
Posted by AFtigerFan on 5/7/25 at 2:49 pm
quote:Chances are it was only a vehicle backfiring. If it was an Airman firing blanks, they wouldn’t have said that no active shooter was found and don’t know where it originated.
Drill was supposed to start at 9:00. The person firing blanks started at 8:00. Everyone thought it was an active shooter. It wasn't.
This happens at almost all active shooter drills. Someone calls in that they saw something real, and the installation has to treat it that way. Then dependents on the Facebook page start fear mongering and arguing with each other. It never fails.

as a 3rd degree Knight I am allowed to speak for all Catholics in good standing. this is funny. The Catholics both understand and appreciate the humor as we go through conclave and the selection of our future Pope.

Msma is the answer here

quote:When I first used them, I had the same experience. They were super helpful in helping me get the right arrow spine for my bow, draw length, and poundage.
I have I’m not found their customer support lacking. Recently I ordered the wrong size insert. Sent them an email and got an exchange done in less than a week. The arrows are super tough especially with their ethics archery inserts and collar.
But when they came out with the Tuffhead Evolution wide broadheads, I asked them several questions via email, Facebook, and phone, and I never received a response whatsoever. Then on my last purchase of Apollos, once again I never got a response to some setup questions I had. I tried via Facebook, email, and phone and never received a response.
I've noticed their Facebook page posts are commented on by all of their field staff members (about 90%) instead of other customers. I'm not sure what changed over the last few years, but I've noticed a big difference in support. The products are still great, but I changed to using a local bowshop for my builds.

I think one of my next purchases is going to be a Garmin Xero.

I just switched from Sirius Apollos and Tuffhead broadheads to Victory shafts and slick trick broadheads. I got tired of no/slow customer support from Sirius so I went another direction. I had been shooting Sirius for a few years. I haven’t had issues with the Apollos, but customer service matters to me.

Was about 250
ETA - or was 250 your testosterone level before you started? I haven’t had any acne issues with the 100mg every 5 days.

Why did you put this in quotes? Who said that because it’s not in the video?

Where are you injecting IM, and what kind of doc are you seeing?
re: Pool Robots 2025

On my third season with my Polaris 9650IQ Sport and I've had no issues so far. I keep it in the pool 24/7 and run it every day. I only take it out when we swim, so I'm a little surprised I've had no problems with it.
It does a good job of cleaning the floor, but when I use the fine filter basket it struggles to get my tanning ledge. If I use the normal basket, it gets everything, including the waterline, just fine but doesn't pick up the really fine particles. Having to change filter baskets for different purposes is my only complaint, but it's a small one. I got it on sale at Lowes.

re: Go to start mower. All clicks and no turn. Guess its the starter.

Last season I didn't remove the battery from my riding mower (or put it on a trickle charger). When I tried to crank it up in the Spring, it would only click. I would charge the battery, but it would still only click. I changed the battery and no issues since.

Mine look just like that but luckily the top is actually a cap/cover that snaps into place. I have no idea what you should do for that.

quote:I hunt public 95% of the time and enjoy the heck out of it. I’ve made some good friends in the deer woods by being respectful and helpful. We scout together, share intel, and help each other track/drag deer when needed, but we still don’t encroach on each other. It’s been awesome.
i will most likely keep hunting public after this year considering the fact that it is free.

It’s been absolutely nasty here in Calhoun, LA (between Ruston and West Monroe) for the last hour or so. Knock on wood that there hasn’t been any tornadic weather so far.

How much space you talking? Couple hundred yards?

If you set up on a main trail, gas line, power line, etc., expect people to walk past you. Don’t get angry with someone because you set up on the path everyone takes.
Don’t leave flagging tape behind. It’s unsightly.
If you see a trail camera, leave it be. If it’s legal, perfect. If it’s not legal (on NWR for instance) leave it be. Mark the location and let a game warden know if you really want to. Karma is real.
If you get to your potential spot and someone is already there, go to another spot and give them plenty of space.
If you see someone coming through and it looks like they are tracking a deer or trying to find a deer they may have shot, offer to help.
Pick up your trash.
That’s a start.

quote:Ours was around $35,000. The enclosure is roughly 52' x 28' total. 2 of the walls are screens (back wall and right side), and the other 2 sides connect to the house. We have 2 doors. We have their super gutters that divert water from the roofline to the downspouts. I'm sure we had to pay a little more due to them having to travel up to North Louisiana, but I have zero regrets going with them.
I was thinking $25,000. Ouch

quote:You still get plenty of sunshine. The reason we did it was to keep mosquitos, flies, and other bugs out. Since we back up to woods, it also helps keep the pool free of debris, snakes don’t get in, etc.. It’s really nice to enjoy eating crawfish on the back patio/pool area without flies ruining the good time.
What’s the reason for this?
