Most of the classrooms will have audio/visual equipment and cameras to use during presentations or when having outside guests watch a class presentation. These cameras are only on when the professor switches them on for that type of use. These aren't CCTV-type cameras at all so I can understand why those wouldn't be on during this event. I'm not saying they were or weren't on, but that it would be unusual to have them on even during a normal class.

My guess is the perp is pissed off at something related to academics and its not political at all.
probably a good guess. The Louisiana Tech stabber was a student that learned he had just failed a class and wasn’t going to graduate. He killed 2 women as they were leaving the Lambright gym.

They still aren’t hitting my corn??

I'm actually surprised the deer are hitting the corn I put out on private that I get to hunt. I just much prefer the public chase. But on private, the deer are hitting it daily including bucks. There's 1 shooter buck that is showing up consistently, but I'm chasing some shooters on public for now.

Ouachita 14, Neville 7
I was rooting for Ouachita. Ouachita’s QB (Conner) and RB (Dade) played for St Frederick a couple years ago. Neville’s QB (Robinson) was Conner’s backup at St Frederick. I’m not in the know of why they left St Frederick but what a team St Fred could have had!

If you are going to bow hunt, you can be extremely successful if you put the scouting time in. If you hunt early morning, don't be afraid to walk around for a couple hours after the hunt (say 11-1 or 12-2) to look for fresh sign. After the rut is over, the bucks start grouping back up (and the does do also) so you can find where they like to bed, feed, and walk. January is a great time for bow hunting because the bucks are still coming out in the daylight to feed.

After the season ends, do some scouting whenever you can. You'll find their late season spots... remember those spots for late next season. In the spring and early summer, do some scouting in the mornings to find some early season spots. Once the rut starts going, all bets are off since they split up and are cruising. You might be able to find a certain buck's home territory if you're lucky.

Bottom line, look at apps like OnX, find some terrain features that you think might be promising, and put boots on the ground to scout those areas. Those spots might be really close to parking, or they might be miles out. Deer don't know how far away they are supposed to be. Me personally, I go deep in the woods because I don't like seeing other people when I'm out there hunting. To each their own.

Back at it in Ouachita Parish
Rained all morning.
Saw horns walking in and hope it’s a good omen for things to come.
I've hunted hard over here the past weeks. I'm seeing bucks and does, but no bucks I want to take yet. The freezer is full so I'm being picky. I had a real pretty 8-point under me 2 mornings ago but he was maybe 2.5 years old so he got a pass. Today I had 5 does come through but nothing following. Yesterday I got to watch a dozen turkeys strut past me but didn't see any deer. Even though I haven't drawn the string back recently, it's been a fun week.

Feed went off but I believe Hamilton Christian won 27-14. St Fred couldn’t do anything after the onside recovery. Hamilton’s QB then ran another TD in. Javon Vital is a really good player.

If I recall, you hunt near us. Has the rut kicked off? I’ll be up next weekend and hoping I’m not too late.
I hunt D’Arbonne, Black Bayou, and Russell Sage. It hasn’t kicked off yet. They are pushing at D’Arbonne but weren’t full chasing. The warm weather messed them up but this week should be good. Black Bayou and Russell Sage are typically a week or so later than D’Arbonne. But the rut is more drawn out I believe here. Now through mid-December should be good.

Awesome buck! Were you way high and started in high shoulder and exited lower belly? Nice shot angled like that Looks like an old swamp donkey. 6pt?
Yes an old swamp donkey 6-point with kind of a Roman nose going on.

He was slightly quartering to me and about to walk off so I put it right shoulder with the exit aimed at lower belly. Ended up getting both lungs. I was roughly 25’ up.

SFHS just recovered the onside kick. 4th quarter.

Freshmen coming up big.

St Fred - 7
Hamilton Christian - 6

Owen O’Neil had a 45 yard run and then capped it off with a 1-yard TD run to give SFHS a 7-0 lead. Hamilton marched down the field and scored but had their XP blocked.

On paper, SFHS shouldn’t have a chance. I hope they beat the odds today.

Morning hunt in Area 2, Ouachita Parish.
Mathews V3x and SEVR 2.0 hybrids.

It was muggy, and the mosquitoes were thick. This boy made it worth it though. 23 yard shot and he died about 60 yards from the shot site. He ran about 150-200 yards but circled back. Blood trail was excellent.

Well, I never used to have trouble posting pics. I’ll figure it out.

She was the closest to an OT 10 IMO. I had a thing for Summer Glau also. Not an OT 10 but an Aftigerfan 10.

St Fred 49, Cedar Creek 0. Running clock 4:38 left in 3rd.
I think the worst part of the joke wasn't that it wasn't funny, it's that he came up with some half-assed attempt to make a joke in such a way that he wouldn't offend anyone. And he still bombed at it. If you're going to make a joke, go all in.

I like how it used to be with comedians when nothing was off the table and they went full throttle. Give me Richard Pryor, George Carlin, etc. making fun of anything and anyone at any time.

There are a few META workers that moved into the Frenchmans Bend neighborhood in Monroe recently. I met them while out golfing. They seem to like their decision to buy houses there.
JFC! If he wouldn’t have made that interception, the receiver was actually in front of the other DB. There’s a chance he could have gotten to it. He made the INT like he’s taught to do. Good for him. Piss off.

And how about that. Good things lead to more good things. 2 INTs now!

Absolutely nothing moving near me so far today. Area 2 public. Been in a tree since 5:30. Acorns are dropping around me. Squirrels seem happy.
