During football season, the powers-that-be on this board post a notice, warning members not to make comments bashing the players.

Yet, you allow thread after thread allowing some idiot posters to continue to bash Jarrett Lee, and its several months before football season even starts. Why is that?

Obtw, I'm not talking about people expressing honest opinions. I'm talking about the kind of ridiculous shyte like one of the threads started by some retard this morning.

Don't you think that player has been ridiculed enough on this board?

You're a fool. He just landed the top recruiting class. 2010/2011 LSU will be a force to be reckoned with. His seat *MAY* be a tinge warm if he loses more than 3 this year, but hot? No way. Not 2 yrs off a MNC.

I agree. I really don't know why some people are looking for Miles to be on the hot seat. Look, Miles has made one big mistake while he's been at LSU. He decided to give Mallory the DC position (I don't really think it was equal between Mallory and BDP). That obviously didn't work out. Maybe Miles felt obligated to give a current assistant a promotion, b/c they had just won the 2007 NC? I don't know, but it didn't work.

Now, from all accounts the defense will be in much better hands. LSU is loaded, and there's reason to believe that the team will be even more talented in 2010/2011 than in 2009, even though 2009 could be interesting.

The 2009 team could definitely lose 3 games, maybe even 4. But as long as they look good, and are playing hard, I'm not going to sign the "let's run Les out of town" petition. The future looks really bright for LSU football, and we are lucky to have Les Miles in charge.

Ole Miss and Bama will stand in the way, and I wouldn't completely count out Arkansas. I think Petrino will do wonders with Mallet.

I admire the hell out of him for saying that.

Now, it's up to Mainieri and the pitching coach not to let that happen. A pitcher can hurt his arm at any time, but a career doesn't have to be sacrificed by throwing a guy way too much.

That was done to Kerry Wood in HS, and it has kept him from being anywhere close to the pitcher he could've been. That should never happen.

While I love most of his playcalling, some of his calls, well... just don't make any sense at all

Well, as we all know, LSU tried to hire you to be the OC before they even talked to that clown..... :doublebird:
If this team ever starts firing on all cylinders, I'll take my chances with 'em.

Might have to play Mikey more..........

when was this?

Bama game in Tiger Stadium in '06?

No, it wasn't the Bama game. I know that, b/c I was at the game where it happened, and I didn't go to the Bama game that year. I went to the Arizona game, and one other. I think it may have been the Arizona game.

I didn't notice it at the game, but somebody showed a clip of the sideline after hester had scored. Everybody was cheering except JV, who looked like he had just been punched in the stomach.

In 2007, Hester said that the RB's were a lot more supportive of one another than they had been in the past. Hester, Scott and Wiliams were buddies in 2007, but I guess JV wanted his carries in '06 (I guess it could've been '05).

It was an extra inning game, and I think Tech did win.
I saw Joey Belle hit a couple of bombs in a game againt La Tech.....but it was @ Tech. The only time I ever saw a couple of balls leave the park that fast, was when my wife caught me at a game with my girlfriend.

King is right. LSU is #1 in baseball, with Texas #2.

LSU is in the discussion when it comes to football. There is no clear-cut #1 in football, but you say it was LSU and nobody would laugh.
Somebody needs to give him grief for keeping his maiden name when he married Mr. Babich.

I'll be glad when all the rankings come out, so Miles will know who to recruit.

Stomp on his tootsies
Yeah, b/c the rantards here like Doc dont know enough about football to understand that a kid can actually improve from their freshman season.

I dont know who will start, but I'll trust Crowton to make that decision over the likes of Doc and the other self-proclaimed know-it-alls on this site.
I'm glad to hear that Scott is at least saying something good about Lee. He's played favorites with JJ everytime I've heard him speak. CS and JJ are homies, so CS isnt exactly 100% objective.
