As an ole buddy of Thorntons, I’d say he’s 5 times the man/ball coach you could ever dream of being.

I personally don’t think NCSA is worth it. I’d rather spend my money on FBU or traveling to other elite camps.

Also I’d tell them he used to play Tight End. Coaches love to see that kind of stuff.

Meeting and making a connection with one coach And getting your first offer is the most important thing it doesn’t matter if it’s a school you’re uninterested in. You get your first offer others will follow even if it’s division two or NAIA. Summer camps are the best chance for you to meet and create connections. If his High school coach has connections that’s great, but I would start by looking at the most regional schools and by getting Juco offers. Also if he has any teammates that are at that level camping as a group always helps in my opinion. Also when he goes he needs to dominate the 1v1 session and do everything he can to be put in the best group. It’s obvious when they split the groups up. I would always weasel my way into the best one on ones and get the most reps I could. Stuff like that catches a coaches eye.

Now they are, but at the time they were 3/4a when the highest division was 6a. Trust me the drop from 6a to 3/4a is massive. Showing out at RB in a 1a school is like Adrian Peterson playing against elementary school children. You can see I’m right by just looking at the Henderson kids stats.

Kerryon was at a Madison Academy state champs at 3 or 4a. Yes that level of competition is poor, but 1a is honestly worse than most middle school ball.
