I suspect you're going to get wrecked trying to short bullish indexes/stocks. there's too many dip buyers waiting on those names and you're going to face a lot of frustration as dips are bought and price trades sideways before a next leg up. volatility is suppressed and even if there is a spike in vol, it's quickly crushed as buying comes in. prime example: the trading days on Thursday and Friday.
maybe focus on actual bearish stocks if you want to go short in this market.
