I’ve got an entire list I’m gonna look further into later today.
I’ll update this list as the need arises.
((Disclaimer)), This does not mean LSU will get these players. LSU trending in the right direction can be anywhere from 1% to nearly 100% guaranteed. This is merely a brief list of players LSU is “warming up” on in some way or another.

Hey, I mean. Last season there was this guy on Facebook who spammed every LSU Baseball Post with, “LSU National Champions/ LSU will win it all.” He became pretty well-known before long. I witnessed hundreds of LSU fans laugh at him, and call him this and that. He never failed to make that comment for every post no matter what was happening, and look what happened last season. He was right. Belief is the first part of the process.
Correct, more talented in terms of numbers, but no Skenes or Crews around, yet. And yes, that’s another way of saying, “You won’t be bad even if you’re bad.” I meant that as an even higher floor in regard to what the other team’s normal floor is, my bad. The floor is still a top-25 team. Whereas, you’d normally think the floor is a 28-win season or worse, but not with the depth we have, we’ll be good regardless.
With College Baseball Season less than a month away. Here’s a very basic walkthrough of keynotes and takeaways for those who don’t follow the Baseball offseason closely.

*Jay Johnson is still the best recruiter in the Country, and he loves doing it.

*We have an All-Star Staff.

*On paper we aren’t as talented as we were last year (won’t be for a minute), but we have way more quality depth at almost every position. This team can be better than last year because we have the right players, they’re just not as proven, and alignment will take time.

*This Bullpen is f***ing loaded: Some big names, proven Pitchers, talented gunslingers with shite still left to prove, highly regarded Freshmen… We have it all.

*Cam Johnson, Justin Loer, and Gage Jump are gonna eat.

*It'll nearly be an entire season of “growing pains” (especially with this schedule), but the ceiling of this team should terrify everyone.
-
*Seriously, don’t be surprised if we’re 18-0, 17-1, or closer to that out the gate. And don't be surprised if we’re not. LSU can win a lot of games in their first 22 Games. But this is Baseball, can’t overlook anybody.
-
*After that 20-ish Game stretch… You have to play: Florida, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee in back-to-back series (with cupcakeish weekday games in between). Don’t be shocked if you lose a lot here. However, this is also awesome for us because this gauntlet will happen early enough in the season so as not to sabotage it if it goes south, and we’ll start to see who this team is sooner rather than later (for those who can’t wait). We have the highest ceiling because of depth, and an even higher floor than usual, but many things have to go right. The schedule gets lighter after that gauntlet but that’s still not saying much because you have: Alabama, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M to get through.
-
*When this team starts to click, it’ll look nearly unbeatable. But how many beatings and games will that take? That’s the biggest question, either way, you should be excited for the 2024 LSU Baseball Team.
It’s Joe Sloan’s and Cortez Hankton’s job to lose. They’ve already earned it, I don’t know why y’all are looking elsewhere…
He’s down to LSU and Florida. I’ve been following this one very closely and A LOT of Florida folk think it’s LSU. That could just be their negative arse culture, but it’s something to watch for sure.
I had a Baseball Coach who would always say, “There’s a special place in Hell for a Coach that wastes a kid’s abilities.” Maybe that’s overkill, but I like the sentiment, lol.
There’s always a middle-ground, and many things can be true at once. I don’t care for Corey Raymond, but I wish him the best and hope for his success. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll verbally hold him for that again. And if I’m wrong, that’s exactly why you leave room in your worldview for people to change or figure it out.

I'm letting it go. It was a rebuild, you inherited much of nothing but a pre-established brand that needed life again. And I’m pretty certain Brian Kelly needed to prove his merit a bit in the SEC too before the bigger Coaching names would give LSU a more serious look compared to the other options out there. That’s been done. Mike Denbrock was like one of Brian Kelly’s first OC asks if I recall, and Matt House came after a lot of other people fell through, a lot. So in hindsight, it makes sense why one worked out and the other sucked. He’s trying to do a Tommy Tanks home run every single hire, he’s not messing around.

A lot of reasons.

You live and you learn. At least we have someone that’s willing to learn.

re: Texas the team to beat now?

Team to beat where, in the SEC?… Georgia is still the team to beat in the SEC until further notice. Let’s not be silly.
Great Coach, even better Recruiter. But that’s saying a lot because he’s one of the best D-Line specialists in the world. Elite at any level, and has been known to be elite for well over 15 years.

"No Room For Error.”

Posted by AureliusBats1000 on 1/12/24 at 11:37 pm
In the most convincingly cold way possible, Brian Kelly is saying to everyone, "There's no f*ck*** room for error." Our defense sucks... "Lemme get that up-and-comer Blake Baker on that shite." Our D-Line sucks too... "No problem. The legendary Bo Davis isn't overkill enough for my liking, let me go get that 29-year coaching veteran and recruiting giant Kevin Peoples to help address that problem too. Have you seen his résumé?”

To all the "naysayers,” the doubters, to the people that aren’t bought the f*ck in yet. Buy some damn stock in LSU Football. Actions prove how seriously Brian Kelly takes this, it proves how badly he wants to win it all here. Not anywhere else, but at LSU. If you’re a fan, this should make you feel some type of way. If you screw this up, this of all things, there’s no question what you are. But the man has spent an entire career doing more with less, way less. Now he has all he could want, what the heck has Scott Woodward released into the College Football world?… I don't know, yet, but I'm dying to see it cook.

When is the last time y'all as LSU Football fans have felt a little bit of hype surrounding this program? I wanna hear the personal stories. Mine is right now.
No, just you. A lot of people unwittingly out themselves on this form. Professing their immaturity and the fact that they aren’t anybody important nor have ever done anything important in the real world. Brian Kelly conducts himself like the overwhelming majority of professionals (insert industry here) that I’ve seen… It’s very stereotypical, to be honest…

But y'all complain about that because you’re impatient as frick, and think the world revolves around your ego. And two, because people like you genuinely don’t understand taking your time, covering your bases, and getting crap done right the first time. It’s not like he must expedite this process, he’s doing fine.
He arrogantly says false things repeatedly. And then sometimes (not all), he spins shite when he’s wrong to make it seem like he was right all along. It’s an ego thing, if he was more honest about his blunders and more humble, he’d be liked more, but he asks for the dislike, if you ask me…
Your posts are always interesting reads (not sarcasm), my friend.
It’s expected, let’s be honest. But given that, it only makes sense to go get their Defensive Line Coach too. IF he fits and all parties involved want him… I’ve known about Kevin Peoples for a while, but I’ve never read his résumé. I highly recommend the quick read (link below), if not just to get hyped about the potentiality here…
