I watched the game 3 times. Live, then a couple more times to make sure I saw what I thought I saw.
The second go round I only watch OL and DL. This years OL is going to be ok, and the DL is nasty and deep.
The third go-round, is to your point. I thought 33 complemented 40 and 7. We have spent many seasons with over pursuing LBs and being crap against the run. I think Baker has settled into what he wants. I thought West played well vs the run, this let 7 and 40 fly to the football and play fast. I trust Baker and if he says 33 is our best option, who the hell am I to question that? This was the best LB play we have had in years. I enjoyed watching them play together.

This is exactly what's needed. The NCAA sat back and let college athletics be destroyed under their watch. The system has been broken, it cant go on as it is today. They will need to destroy the model and start fresh. The only way this gets fixed is if everyone hurts, everyone looses, everyone bleeds, and it costs everyone $$$$. Rest assured this wont take long, they will have the system repaired and workable in short order. There is too much money at stake.

I disagree, with many of you. I think he does have good stuff, he has command of his curve ball and makes them chase his fastball. That’s pitching babe, throwing it where they not comfortable hitting. That young man has heart and he don’t get rattled. He is everyone Floyd is not.

OP is not off his rocker. I saw Frey pitch; he threw in the 90s and had command. Right now, we can’t throw strikes, it's like watching bad Hight School baseball. I watched Guidry and Frey pitch in HS and I thought Frey had more juice, as much command and better mound presence.
To the small school comparison, you’re trying to make. If you follow Louisiana HS baseball at all, you know you can't compare it to our HS Football. Everybody plays everybody, and the Lake Charles area has some pretty good baseball.
This board was in love with Arch Manning, and he couldn't get out the 3rd round of the playoffs in 2A football against the private schools.

uSC is too physical, if they let them play they will be almost impossible to beat. If the 2nd quarter is any indication and they keep calling ticky tack fouls on Maryland, this game will be a blowout in the 2nd half.

I don’t like it, and if it was 15 years ago I would agree with you. But man get your head out of the 1990s. All these kids are all travel ball kids. There is no more rec ball, little league phenoms. This is what they know, you either adjust and enjoy the game or crawl back into your recliner and tell your grand kids about the good old days (that really sucked).

The transition from Les to O hurt, as would any coaching change. O struggled with star chasing, and we missed out on some local/regional talent in the O to Kelly transition. Now that we can legally pay for players and have coaching stability, we should see things settle down. LSU will balance resources and purchase suitable RB talent as needed moving forward.
Do yourself a favor. You need to rethink everything you knew about recruiting pre NIL. These kids don't GAF about dream schools, facilities, tradition or relationships anymore, its all about $,$$$,$$$.$$

We draft RB in rounds 3 to 5, cut him before camp. He goes on to sign with a NFC team and has a productive NFL career.
