Alabama USED to be good in basketball during the Wimp Sanderson era and they've had success in baseball.......losing twice in the finals at Omaha. But it's amazing how down they currently are in everything but football.

My fear about Fuente is that he's awfully young. 34-35....something like that. Then again.....if an NFL team (Tampa Bay) can hire a 32 year old as their head coach then who's to say what age is too young?

I can't argue with you about LSU losing to Oregon. We're not losing a lot but what we are losing will be difficult to replace. Plus Oregon's experience against Auburn the other night will better prepare them for the SEC style of play. As an LSU fan I'm worried sick about that game.

It's going to be a rebuilding year for the conference in 2011. Look at all the underclassmen that are leaving. Do the SEC teams have the depth to replace players like Newton,Fairly,Peterson,Ridley,Ingram,Dareus,Mallet,Green,Hill,Cobb and a couple of others? That's a lot of talent. For the first time since the 2005 season I'm not convinced that the SEC will be the top conference.

My sentiments exactly. Outside of the South there is a lot of anti-SEC sentiment. If they don't like the fact that the SEC has been college football's best conference historically than I certainly don't mind reminding them.

The ESPN posters of other conferences have had that name for us for nearly two years. They'll start a thread on ESPN's College Football Message Board criticizing something about the conference and when posters of SEC teams defend the conference you can guarantee that cries of "Team SEC" will appear in response.

We're a Top 5 baseball school.USC,Texas,Arizona St., Fullerton,LSU.......IMO that's your 5 best baseball programs ever.
