According to the AYS guy: Multiple SEC assistants, JUCO HCs, and Southland HCs are in the mix.
I think they're pissing in the wind for an SEC assistant. The money has gotten so far out of hand that assistants can wait until a power conference job opens up.
I don't know that there are any HCs in the Southland that are both better than Riser but also see SLU as an upgrade to where they are.
SLU should be the best team in the Southland, period. Proximity to BR/NO/ Northshore for talent and not far from about half of the MS JuCos. They should be able to recruit a lot of the kids in the area that don't get SEC/Tulane/USM offers.

Also makes them less prone to injury later on. It’s no coincidence that Tommy John’s surgery is rampant at this point with younger players. I can’t find the study but it simple comes down to kids using the same core group of muscles/tendons over a period of time that creates a wear and tear situation.
You just woke the kraken. LSU777777 is about to write you a novel on why his grip machine and app they do to test arms before games and weight training and arm care they do at 10 years old has no shot at affecting kids arms. He has it figured out.

They will fold at the last minute. I've seen this before.

As far as fatigue, how many times do I have to bring up the ArmCare.com device and app and explain to what it does? Our use a grip guns moneyed and a crane scale to test same thing, bill killer explains how for free on instagram
So let me get this straight. Every weekend you put a kid on a grip machine to determine if his arm is rested enough to pitch?

Did you have any of the stats to back up the countless claims you’ve made??
quote:
1. Specialization: Playing one sport year-round
I believe all youth athletes should have at least two months off per year. It’s my
recommendation that youth baseball players have 3-to 4 months where no overhead
throwing is done, regardless of the sport.
quote:
Showcases and Travel Ball: Respect the physical limits of the child
Be careful with showcases and travel ball tournaments where a child is expected to throw
multiple innings, and pitch with limited rest periods. These types of events are where
young throwers have a tendency to go beyond their normal capabilities.
quote:
Fatigue: A “tired” arm leads to an injured arm
Avoid arm fatigue, especially early in the season. If your child throws with fatigue, our
research at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) indicates that there is a 36-to- 1 times increased risk for injury to the throwing shoulder and/or elbow.
Paper from Dr. Andrews

He told us upfront he was going to take 18-20 depending on the talent he saw. He said kids can change a lot between the ages of 14 and 17 and taking that many gives him a chance to get them going in the program.
Seems like a smart coach. No where is "skill" in this conversation. Coaches can teach skill. Talent is what they need.
I understand rec ball sucks. But there has to be a happy medium between fanatical baseball 25 weekends a year and the current state of rec ball. Hopefully the pendulum swings back the other direction.

Some of y’all’s weird infatuation with what our people do with their lives is amazing. Why don’t y’all worry about improving your miserable life and let others worry about theirs.
I'm worried about the kids that have had a job since they were 8 and will hate the game by 15 because isn't hasn't been fun in years. But because Mommy and Daddy put thousands of dollars into it, there is an expectation to play college ball. Really sucks for the kid.

and why are you under the impression that kids dont take a break from throwing and play year around....you realize nobody in south louisiana does that right? or should i say none of the big orgs do that.
90 day breaks solid with NO throwing? Completely shut down.

the team follow the pitch limits, most only play on average every other weekend which is way more time between starts than LL....so just trying to understand where your BS is coming from
What are these rules? Studies have said that you need 1 hour of rest for every game pitch you throw. I seriously doubt these rules align with that.

If only Tony Robichaux could see what that area of the state/ country has become he would not be happy about it. All this stuff you are pushing I have heard from his mouth he has said is what is wrong with baseball today.

i said his group has been putting out the same recommendations for 3 decades...yet surgeries aka his money making....has went up
They go up because of idiots like you that think they know more than respected doctors on the subject. Overuse and not enough rest time between outings are what are causing the higher ucl injuries. That and not having the 90 day break in the year to heal. But keep finding stats to reinforce your beliefs.
But the people trying to sell you books and instruction videos aren't trying to make money either?
