He said recently on either a radio show or a podcast that he’s ready to start his pro career. He’s been a part of 2 championship teams, dealt with injuries, starred in some games, and gotten shelled in many others. He’s gone
Yep, not totally unheard of considering UCLA had a pitcher drafted in I think the second round last year and made it to campus. But it’s almost a given they’re gone. Hell River Hamilton was drafted in the 11th last year and got 5th round money
Every pick in the first 10 rounds has a slot value attached to it. Teams can offer more/less than that value. They typically will offer more to a high schooler/draft eligible sophomore to entice them to skip out on college. They will offer less to seniors that have no leverage. The important thing to remember is if they do draft a player and that player does not sign, they will lose that available money(slot value) and cannot reallocate it to another draft pick. So basically if a player is drafted in the first 10 rounds, they are more than likely going to sign. If they choose not to sign, unless they’re in the transfer portal already(Cameron Flukey for example) then they have to go back to their school since the portal is closed.

The MLB draft is far and above the most complicated of any of the pro drafts.
I believe he was thinking of Kade Anderson in that number…
Was it wrong or did somebody just drop some news they were supposed to hold onto?!
I don’t normally feel like I live under a rock when it comes to recruiting news but who are the other two pledges from the last 24 hours? Feel like I totally missed that
100%. The only thing that could derail that Texas matchup though is like everyone said, what happens if one team or both teams aren’t living up to their potential. Does that matchup have the same luster if both teams are two loss teams at that point? The opener is guaranteed to be a hell of an atmosphere barring a monsoon. The TX game has a few more variables.
When you combine season/home opener, first game under Kiffin, roster overhaul, out of conference opponent, etc. I feel like September 5th has the potential to be an all timer
It’s all about projectability. When MLB teams see a high school aged kid built like a damn tank and hitting elite level EVs, they’re going by to be salivating and I’m sure someone is going to pay him. I think it’s truly hard to gauge baseball NIL because nobody talks about it as openly as they do with football, but it’s probably somewhat difficult for baseball to fork out the 750k+ it would take to get that kid to campus.
Every single baseball podcast I’ve listened to and article I’ve read said you can go ahead and count on him NOT getting to campus.
While I don’t doubt they still end up with a good class, there are 18 uncommitted top 100 prospects according to on3 and they currently lead for 1 of them. So for their class to make a sizable jump they’re going to need to flip a few guys. In the NIL era, it can still be done but guys are committing earlier and earlier every year and I would guess there’s more than a little concern in that building right now from a recruiting standpoint
Made exactly zero visits to LSU according to on3 but okay. #rentfree
Last years Champion and last years #1 overall seed not making the tournament will be wild

Only 17 walks…

From tying the 1988 program record of 292 walks in a season! Dare I say we hit it!

You referring to the guy who became an NFL head coach this year?!

Pretty sure that’s the first time Jackson has been retired in this series
Feel like this is the only right answer here. Very very few times in his time at LSU has Curiel looked basically lost at the plate and that FB slung right past him. Arrambide did the same thing a few weeks back. Expecting breaking ball and watched a middle middle FB
That would mean Guidry didn’t give up yet ANOTHER game losing HR. So yeah, the board would look a tad different.
Eh you have to remember who is coming back next year(barring transfer portal). Evans, Schmidt, and Moore will all be back. Evans won’t go back to the pen in his money year. Not to mention the emergence of Paz
Can’t really say this is the “only” way but it’s by far the best way. We saw last week what it looked like when the offense came through and the pitching fell flat. If the offense continues at this pace and we get outings that are anywhere close to what we had this weekend, we will be in very good shape. Hard to hold that Georgia offense down so we shall see
