From tying the 1988 program record of 292 walks in a season! Dare I say we hit it!

You referring to the guy who became an NFL head coach this year?!

Pretty sure that’s the first time Jackson has been retired in this series
Feel like this is the only right answer here. Very very few times in his time at LSU has Curiel looked basically lost at the plate and that FB slung right past him. Arrambide did the same thing a few weeks back. Expecting breaking ball and watched a middle middle FB
That would mean Guidry didn’t give up yet ANOTHER game losing HR. So yeah, the board would look a tad different.
Eh you have to remember who is coming back next year(barring transfer portal). Evans, Schmidt, and Moore will all be back. Evans won’t go back to the pen in his money year. Not to mention the emergence of Paz
Can’t really say this is the “only” way but it’s by far the best way. We saw last week what it looked like when the offense came through and the pitching fell flat. If the offense continues at this pace and we get outings that are anywhere close to what we had this weekend, we will be in very good shape. Hard to hold that Georgia offense down so we shall see
So let me get this straight, you want this team to put together that kind of stretch after going 0-9 in its last 3 weekends?! Keep in mind the last 3 losses were about as demoralizing as it comes. Also, understand you are asking a pitching staff, that will more than likely be missing 2/3 starters, to lock down the school with the highest batting average in the conference. Oh yeah and they have 30 more HRs than the next closest SEC team. They showed enough offensively this weekend against great pitching that i think they can stay in games. However, if they dont have a 16-2 lead going into the 7th, high likelihood they blow it.

It is but at least he owned up to it. Not that it makes much of a difference right now. But saying “I made some mistakes in the construction of this roster…” in the middle of a season during a press conference, is as close to a shot across the bow to your players as it gets
I am going to HUNT for his answer to that in one of these press conferences this week. I already know it’s going to be something like yeah we were trying for the righty lefty matchup there and it didn’t work
I don’t often get truly pissed watching this team, but the decision to pinch hit a guy batting .143 with what 15 ABs all season, for a guy who hit a bomb in the game already and has come through in multiple spots this year, that is mind blowing

Played in more than 30% of our games meaning medical redshirt is out. He’d lose all leverage so no chance he’s coming back barring someone going nuts with a checkbook

Done for the year with broken hamate according to the bald one
What exactly makes you think we can beat Southern Miss? We’ve lost countless mid week games and every time we say oh it’s just a mid week. We lose countless weekend games and say oh we just need to get hot at the right time. At some point you have to believe the product that’s been put on the field. 962 fielding percentage is tied with Alabama for worst in the league. 3rd worst team ERA in the league. I will watch probably every remaining game and root for the team throughout but man it’s hard to believe this team does anything but bows out of a regional if they even make it

The view on Rizy is one of the few things I agree with Scone on. If you bring him in in a clean inning, he fairs well. Probably walks one guy but also probably gets out of it unscathed. Instead, he’s brought in with 2 guys on and 0/1 out. Without fail at least one of those runs score, usually more, and those earned runs end up on someone else’s line. It’s impossible not to see the potential he has as a guy who can touch upper 90s with a tough slider, but it’s also impossible not to see the fact that he’s as “unclutch” as just about any pitcher I’ve seen at LSU in years

Justin Loer… not that a 5.92 season ERA is good but I would’ve thought it was higher based on what I remember about him from that year
We lost to Nicholls and UL in back to back midweeks in late April of 2023…

LSU got run ruled by Northwestern state last year. It’s baseball. Annoying to see? Yes? Sky falling? No
Runner relies on the first base umpires ruling of the play. You can’t penalize a runner for going off of what the umpire is telling him.
