Personally, I believe women and men are equal and society and government should treat men and women equally, but I in no way call myself a feminist.
This is like saying "I'm a guy who loves having sex with other dudes, but I in no way call my self a homosexual."

HAHA, you didn't know you were stupid did you?
I have an autistic cousin that reads this site and hopefully he never posts here. What if you met Roho at a tailgate and he was obviously mentally handicapped and asked that question? Would this be your response? Damn

Very good movie. Not handled very well by the director (Andrew Stanton) - dude had done an excellent job with the Pixar stuff he had done, but totally blew up the budget with reshoots and such with his FIRST foray into live action. He handled the marketing as well . . . and botched it. Pulled "from Mars" from the title too.
Disney trusted the guy, from his Pixar work, and gave him too long a rope. They should have stopped him, made him work within his means.
It did finally make enough to cover its production costs (250 million, mainly from overseas), and maybe made enough from other sales to maybe cover the marketing costs (100 million) as well. So, it wasn't the failure everyone made it out to be.
Sucks there will be no sequel. I read from some of the actors how it was supposed to be great. The guy that played in Rome, was supposed to have a much larger storyline in the next one. In the books, he is John Carter's best friend
All this but the major flaw of marketing that movie was: THE ASININE ASSUMPTION THAT EVERYONE IN AMERICA HAD READ THE BOOKS AND KNEW WHO JOHN CARTER WAS!
I never read the books, had never heard of John Carter, and when i saw the trailer thought "why is that 19th century dude suddenly shirtless in the desert? Is that a dog or a giant lizard? why are these 4-armed people speaking english?
They didnt even show the white apes until a week or two before the movie opened so they werent in the original trailers.
re: who does Verizon think they are?

AT&T tried that one time with me. I looked at the guy like he was crazy. He looked embarrassed and removed it. I didn't really have to raise a fuss at all. He just felt bad cause he knew it was crap.

This comment has a muslim extremist tinge to it. I wonder if you've ever seen the irony. You have a lot in common with the group you most likely hate the most (other than democrats).
Women must remain sexually pure lest they bring shame upon their families.
Kids (especially) young girls do stupid things to be popular or to get attention. So what? Does she deserve to be terrorized?

What if we beat Car, then Lose to Tampa and Car beats Atlanta?
i think we would end up with the same record but win the tie breaker cause we won the division

Lol you must be just as dumb, didn't come close to receivers head..fricking morons are out today..
I didn't say he hit him in the head, but he DID launch his body head-first at the receiver's head. he missed, should have been a no call but a different attempt at a tackle, and there would have been no chance for that call.

Slavery happened, there were bad people owning slaves, and they were white. You never owned slaves, I never owned slaves, just enjoy the movie.
And no, its not very preachy. It was actually a lot fairer than i thought it would be.

I remember watching games on TV and Reed would be so wide open, there wasnt a defender on screen with him when he caught the ball sometimes. his routes were so good, his cuts were so precise.
he must have just given up when he went to buffalo. if he would have gone to a team with a good QB, he could have been a Steve Smith.

re: Would it have been "legal" if OB "blocked" the kick in end zone?
Posted by Behind The Ivy on 9/9/13 at 12:15 pm
