Thai ... only in the motherland. Not some busted arse restaurant in your neighborhood.

In the US ... Japanese maybe, because you could have plenty of fish and meat/veggies.

David Leitch's new one "How to Rob a Bank" ... Labor day weekend.
And many of the others mentioned, especially the Fincher film.
Mostly set .. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Will do .... nice to be back in the hometown for more than just a quick visit during the holidays. And it's good for many craftspeople behind the scenes who need the work and benefits.

everyone in Hollywood?

yet you reference someone known for a movie from 1989. Not exactly a working, household name.

Update .... TD giveth once again.

Two really solid candidates were interviewed and one has joined the Art Department and started this week. The other candidate we are hopeful can join the production in a different capacity.

thanks to the posters who pushed them forward.

the early word was it was going to be a snow/ski/chalet spot. This location looks a little boring to me. Elegant of course, but something seems stale.

My guess is no carry through story lines and no Uncle Rico. Maybe the hot french gal from S3.

Mike and HBO cleaned house on the crew though --- long time Assistant Director, DP, costume designer and production designer. Major creative overhauls, so I do think you will have a much different vibe. We already know the intro will be different. Mike is also quite aware of some of the tepid reviews and criticisms about the show wearing out its welcome. My guess is we get an elevated and different feeling show. Helena Bonham Carter casting is a big signal to that.
Looks fun .... It's giving me David Leitch vibes. Which is a good thing IMO.

You don't think Vegas knows what it's talking about?

perhaps the billions of dollars made since forever tells a different story.

the ten minute prologue of Raising Arizona is hard to beat. Especially with several classic quotes.

Good call by the previous poster.

So ... one scene is manipulated from a movie that as shot and edited 19 years ago is a perfect representation?

Of course there are less expensive tools of technology that filmmakers can use. I'm sure Greta will too for her new Narnia film.

Now, let's put her upcoming Narnia film with real actors and environments up against a fan's full length from scratch version with fake "actors".

Cinema is evolving and adapting. Dying is a stretch, but cheer on.

I lived and worked in Melbourne for a year. Quite possibly my best one yet and I’ve had some good ones.

Go for it and don’t glance back

Like everything ... take it for what it is. A quiet, fun little spot when driving cross country. I would much rather stay there than El Paso or some other dinky spot. Is it "hip" ... ? okay, so young artists flock there? is that so bad.

There are some good restaurants and notably, the Donald Judd foundation. And the burrito/coffee game is strong. And some decent music on the weekends as well.

It's a relaxing weekend for sure and worth the stop if you are traversing that part of Texas.

No Other Choice should be in the conversation ... certainly listing the top 10

Stephanie Seymour ... in whatever GNR video that was

A lot of that is makeup and preparation.

I saw her very up close and personal at an event last awards season. At almost 50, she is very much one of the most striking people I've seen. And actually quite charming as expected, working a small reception of 40 people or so promoting that Maria Callas film.

I can only imagine what she was like mid 2000's when Brad gave it all up and jumped into the chaos.
