re: Local talking heads, in central Florida, trashing LSU

I live in Florida and teach at UF. I heard some trash talk this week. UF fans are publicly confident, but they know they have issues.
I just hope they extend Billy’s contract!!!! That comment does not trigger a good reaction.

I sat next to him in a marketing class. Gosh that was a long time ago.

The video shows a battery, not an assault (assuming South Carolina law is the same as most states). Assault is an attempt. Battery involves touching.
No excuse for the hand gestures, but they do not justify a battery.

I'm only 72. It was called both Death Valley and Deaf Valley 55 years ago in my first of 7 years at LSU.

I was there from 1970-77. I learned a great deal. It was worth it.

Yes. Peace and understanding are appropriate prayer requests. We all need both.
All that is irrelevant. In my 73 years I've know many angry men. Many bullies. Some of the grow up. Many never do and they end up bitter. Schnall may be grown, but he comes across as immature. I pray he finds some peace and perspective.
Wow. :nana: :nana: :nana:

I have worked for UF for 45 years, so I guess I chose Florida.

I agree with Waco Tiger regarding the substance, but the "optics" pushback is fascinating as well as surprising. States frequently compete by using tax incentives. I'm a little surprised the fairly low tax rate has a material impact on fairly unsophisticated taxpayers, but if states are competing, they must think it does.
Waco's "I know more tax than 99% on this Board" is likely understated. I appreciate his humility in not claiming to exceed 100%.

Mac. He was a great guy.
After I moved to Florida, he was attending games when LSU played. Tailgated with him in Gainesville once about 30 years ago.

Oklahoma is OU
Ranked 18.
It was harder to type all that than I expected, especially on a phone. My Oklahoma roots are showing to call them OU. I thought everyone did.
