First time poster, longtime lurker. Honest thoughts below.
I am hoping for:
1) Arkansas - 512 Miles campus to campus
The rivalry stated in 1903 (Aggies won 6-0), between 1992 and 2008 the schools did not play each other when Arkansas left the Southwest Conference for the SEC.
Arkansas does lead the all-time series 42-34-3, but is 1-10 vs. A&M in the past 11 years. I fully expect my Aggies to take the lead in this series within the next couple of years. Nonetheless, these games have always been exciting to watch, and we have SWC history.
2) LSU - 346 Miles Campus to Campus
LSU is the 2nd closest campus to Texas A&M, and as a younger fan (26) this football series has been one of my favorite to watch despite my Aggies only being 3-8 against the tigers since joining the SEC. The food is FIRE in Louisiana (and I am not talking about Sonic, I know you folks love y’all some Sonic), and playing the Tigers in any sport will always be a packed house.
3) t.u. - Autism (I learned this here on the rant, I will use this for the rest of my life) - 105 Miles campus to campus.
Unlike most (so it seems), I WANT to play Texas every year. Win or lose, the atmosphere for our matchups in any sport have always been intense. I have so many memories as a child getting together with my family on Thanksgiving and watching the game. I miss all the house divided shirts, I miss all the shite talking at school, and I miss going to the lonestarshowdown.com to see which school won in overall sports. I can’t wait to have this game back!
Welcome to the SEC Texas :sec:
Who I don't want:
1) Missouri - No hate here, nor am I inspired to attend a game vs Mizzou.
2) Mississippi State - I only hate the cowbells and the fact that our schools are the same color, aside from that I support lesser schools from poorer states trying to level up in college sports.
3) Oklahoma - Texas is a given for my Aggies, I don't want Oklahoma due to the fact that for me, it will feel like we are back in the Big 12. I want to play SEC teams, not be grouped with schools from the Big 12
Howdy from Vegas my fellow SEC brother, please help me understand where you got offended.
Was it:
1) When I said you all are a lesser school?
- Because you are, in nearly every single way possible. That’s okay, it’ll be okay. Take some deep breaths baby girl. Everything will be fine.
SEC Schools Ranked by Academics
2) When I said you all are poor?
- Well facts are facts my guy. Don’t get mad at me, write your congressmen.
States Ranked by Poverty Rate
- Step your money up, not your funny up.
3) When I insulted your cowbells?
- I don’t know any sane person that would find your cowbells not annoying. Those who do enjoy them probably attended a poorer and/or lesser school.
