Learned in treatment that benzos and alcohol are the only two things that can kill you during withdrawals. I have never had a thing for them. But man some of the horror stories I have heard in treatment. Worse that H or anything else....

Very first psych ward trip was a .412 (had alcohol poisoning and had to pump my stomach). Last ER trip (last time I drank) was .383. My GP still reminds me of that when I go for my annual. If he wouldn't...

Been sober for almost 3 years now. 4 treatment centers, multiple trips to the psych ward, and 3 different ER Trips...one of which I stayed in for 4 days due to seizures, blood pressure, and heart rate complications. I was drinking a liter of vodka a day. Horrible way to live. Almost lost everything....
