Not a fighter pilot, but a chopper pilot in Viet Nam. Shot down 4 times, and twice in the same day. Cannot imagine what he went through.

Friend of mine totaled his Camry due to a dry rotted tire. Front left tire blew out on I-10 at 70 mph. The tread separated, tore out the lining of the wheel well, then ripped out the main engine wiring harness from the firewall. Toyota dealer quoted $8000 fix. Totaled it

Lucky you. Mine was non renewed after 7 years with no claims. New company is triple the old policy, but now is replacement cost

Luckily I didn’t have to live there. It was a dump. Kids who lived there had to move their cars on game day so parking lot was available for visitors
